The only reason he's different is he's an althelete, so its news. Anyone else be they white, black, or brown would get the same jail time. Stop whining about how unfair it is, its not. Sep 21st 2009 8:12PM Being employed in the retail industry let me say that checks are a waste of time and resources. In the The average time it takes for a customer to fill out the check, ask twice what the date is, write the amount down wrong and have to rewrite it after scratching out the original, ask three times what the dollar amount is. forget to spell the name of the place of purchase correctly and have to rewrite it, fumble for five minutes to find their license... Nine other customers using debit could have been processed and on their way home. So for the people saying you'd take your business elsewhere? C YA! Your not worth the time it takes to wait on you.

Aug 20th 2009 1:15PM Ok, a lot of the readers seem to be missing one big point in this story, the gun was registered in Florida, NOT NY. You cant just take a registered gun out of state, you have to inform your home state and the state being traveled to. You also need written permission from both states, if even allowed to move it. As far as what Stallworth got vs. what Burres got for time... again, Stallworth was in Florida, Burres in NY. Two different states, different laws, Got it yet?

The speculation was it MAY have contributed to his death... Learn to read the story before you comment on it. And I never saw the guy because I dont own a t.v.! I do read a lot though, after reading the posts here its obvious most watch t.v. but few read... Sad.
