Aug 11th 2008 12:20PM I don't agree with affairs. I also make no claims to actually know what was in either mans heart. To do so is ludicrous. The difference between Edwards and McCain's affairs are vastly different. McCain went through vast amounts of personality changes during the Vietnam war. When he came back their relationship / marriage was not the same. Throw in PTSD and his marriage went the same route that my ex's Mom and Dad went through. Marriage is often a casualty of war. That or he just went the same route Edwards did, and wanted to get his candle waxed. Makes me embarrassed to be a man.

Aug 11th 2008 8:12AM asa moderate, I am glad to see someone throw a grenade back at the liberals who have been so eager to blast the conservatives as two faced evil child molesting blah, blah, blahs....
It cracks me up to see people trying to pin a bad action to an entire political party. "SEE! THEIR ALL EVIL!!!!!" Gets really old after a while. Yes Dinesh was lop sided on this article, but probably to make the point that it goes beyond political party affiliation and more to a manageable and maintainable moral center. Why did I say "Maintainable"? Because some conservatives try to live too perfectly, and finally snap. Some liberals go by their own code of conduct, and fall far short of a moral code. Neither is a good road to travel. Enjoy life. But not at others expense.

Aug 1st 2008 1:57PM I am pro environment. Anyone who thinks it isn't important is an idiot.
BUT
We do have the ability to get oil of shore without adversely affecting wildlife. I like Caribou, and don't care if they matter to me or anyone else or not. They have a right to exist just the same as us. we just have to drill carefully and with forethought.
As to the comment about oil in relation to the middle east...
I'm all for making them poor as dirt.
If they want to hate the west, then fine. We can do business elsewhere.

-----------------------------I will admit that Iraq could have waited and that we ran the war poorly. BUT anti war protests from the public and politicians have undermined our efforts and caused as many if not more deaths than Bush and the military's poor planning and leadership. Just like Vietnam. The people who are trying to save lives are actually getting more innocent people killed. When you protest a war in front of your enemy, you empower them to do more harm.

Jul 15th 2008 2:52PM I agree and disagree with some of this article. Ye. Obama is handled with kid gloves for the reason you state. I disagree that all black people especially men are held back by "the white man". Racism in this country has been replaced largely by classism. Most educated team players who act more like Bill Cosby and less like Snoop Dog will run into a little racism, but not a lot. People want to hang out with positive people they can enjoy being around. Someone with a chip on their shoulders doesn't fit that bill.

May 21st 2008 3:04PM It sounds to me that Einstein felt much as I do.
He understood the complexities of the universe, and saw God as something real, but probably misunderstood by organized religions and their followers.
Some of my views...
The seven days of creation as well as Adam and Eve were written for mankind to grasp the yet still too advanced informations. The bible doesn't spell it all out accurately because we shouldn't have that much information until we are mature enough to not miss use it.
Evolution exhists, but so does God. Neither science or Religion can disprove the other.
The attempts I see show just how immature mankind is and why we were not meant to know all in the first place.
