Nov 19th 2010 1:20PM Narayen is a little off. Solutions like PhoneGap and many others all you to create apps that work on iOS and Android. I think Backberry as well. Apple has no problem supporting and allowing apps development with these libraries.

Oct 8th 2010 2:14PM Your review is based no the fact that you live on your own. Get a family or live in a house that has more than one or two people. Then you will see how nice a $99 simple device is. I am not going to buy another Xbox/Playstation due to the price just to take advantage of Netflix and movie support. My family could care less about 1080 vs 720. Sure, I do but they don't. When my son is on the xBox, I am on the MacBook, and my other kids are on the iPad how is my wife going to watch a movie?
I personally do not own an Apple TV. I have a mac mini running Plex. For me the mini and Plex is perfect. For the kids and wife an device like the Apple TV makes perfect sense. Or any of the other roku devices for that matter.
Now if the rumor is true that Apple TV will support apps in the future then I will be one of the first in line to get one.

Oct 5th 2010 3:39PM All I want for Christmas is to get many of the movie channels without having to subscribe to them on cable/dish. I am sick of paying for dish when I don't need all the channels. Oh well, I can keep wishing....

Oct 5th 2010 12:24PM I personally don't think that the iPad will ever get a camera on the back. My money is on a forward facing camera only. FaceTime is what it is all about with the camera integration on the iPad. I guess only time will tell.
