Oak Trees Deliberately Poisoned at Toomer's Corner in Auburn (Fanhouse NCAA Football Blog)

Feb 17th 2011 8:45AM Looks like Spike 80DF is a long term herbicide. So it seems like you need to quickly remove the dirt where the spikes were placed. No kidding. Backhoe 3' deep where the spikes were. Live Oaks are very durible but they are shallow rooted at the water table, so if spikes were used on the surface roots and the water table is high, the bottom roots wont go down substantially more than four feet or so. So one needs to remove the poisoned dirt at the surface and at its source.

Taking Down Toomer's Trees Only Latest Insanity in Alabama-Auburn Rivalry (Fanhouse NCAA Football Blog)

Feb 17th 2011 8:36AM Call Neil Odenwald, retired from the department of Landscape Architecture at LSU; he knows his oaks. If they are Live Oaks, then my bet is on the oaks, takes a lot to kill a Live Oak. August Schwartz LSU, Landscape Architecture 83

Les Miles Agrees to 7-Year Extension (Fanhouse NCAA Football Blog)

Jan 14th 2011 8:00PM I disagree. A huge majority does not support him staying as coach. In the long run it isnt simply about winning, its about how you win and how you lose. Miles wins ugly and his losses are even uglier. This past year we won at least four games becaues the players beat our coaches not because the coaches coached winning efforts.

2011 Jeep Wrangler Call of Duty: Black Ops Edition ready to frag n00bs (Autoblog)

Jan 12th 2011 10:56PM Jeep just doesnt get it.

30k plus for a glossy black wrangler???

If they want to put their people on triple shifts, (or even one full shift for quite some time), they need to strip this puppy down, (or go back to 1941 and build up), and put a machine on the road that has two doors, super suspension, powerful 6cyl engine, four wheel dirve, coat the sucker inside and out with a rubber bedliner material, and make it so that it can be hit with a pressure washer inside and out. And sell it for UNDER 18K JEEP IS STUPID STUPID STUPID.

'Cheating' University of Central Florida Students Defend Themselves (Urlesque)

Nov 28th 2010 1:44PM The students cheated, and no smoke and mirrors about the professor writing the questions will negate that issue. Also, if one has the ability to listen, the professor clearly states that others had prepared the new exam.

Glenn Beck Tells NRA Members: Fight the 'Marxists' at the Polls (Politics Daily)

May 16th 2010 1:42PM I own guns and believe gun ownership our right, but still I recognize Glenn Beck as the most dangerous man in America.
Beck is the Anti Will Rogers; his self interest outweighs all other motivations. Becks ideas employ the thinnest strand of truth to hold together arguments made nearly entirely of dung. If you believe in the tripe that he spews you are either an idiot, a really, really stupid idiot, or the worst type of American citizen – advocates of the zombie state.

'Baby-Killer' Shouter Says He Meant Health Care Deal, Not Bart Stupak (Politics Daily)

Mar 22nd 2010 9:56PM Anyone who shouts from a crowd and waits a day to identify themself and then covers with "they didnt hear me corrrectly" is a coward with a capital C. I cant believe that Texas is now growing Cowards - we have come a long way from what was, I guess.

Ingrid Martin Channels Joe the Plumber, Debates Obama After Health Speech (Politics Daily)

Mar 17th 2010 8:13AM lets home tort reform and attacking the costs are next. We need to start somewhere - so here it is.

Dick Cheney Predicts, 'Barack Obama is a One-Term President' (Politics Daily)

Feb 18th 2010 1:48PM Cheney is horriblly myopic.

Fast-Track Tragedy: Shame on Olympics (Fanhouse Olympics Blog)

Feb 13th 2010 1:54PM This story is so wrought with quasi facts that to consider it "journalistic" would be like viewing poop as food. OK so 73 crashes happend in test runs on this track; how does that compare to previous Olympic track test runs, were there no crashes in previous years or 2000 crashes. The "50/50" curve, is it described as such based on the possibility of crash, the possibility of death, or the feeling of the possibility of crash. Some "think" the possibility of hitting a 50 yard field goal is 50/50 but the reality of teh matter is much different. What level of expertise did the Georgian Luger have; was he an Eddie the Eagle of the Luge. Remember Eddie he was a sub par ski jump hobbiest among "professionally" qualified Olympians. Poor journalism has no place in print unless we have all sunken to the Glen Beck style of histrionics.
