Jan 25th 2010 3:36PM Alcohol AGAIN. Isn't it pathetic how MANY terrible things START with "too much alcohol"? Yeah, and so many things END like this. Sad. For ALL involved.

Jan 18th 2010 10:34PM Just over a week ago, I saw the "Wiener-Wagon" sitting in a nearby Penske truck-rental lot, just off I - 8 at the Fairmount exit in San Diego.
Are they abandoning THAT too?

CBS Pulls 'Three Rivers' From Schedule (Inside TV Blog)
Dec 1st 2009 10:33PM Three Rivers is the ONLY NEW TV Program of THIS season which I watch. The rest are garbage, especially the 4 "abc" Wednesday evening "comedy" shows. Even Kelsey Grammar's new show STUNK, because of the WRITING and completely IGNORANT story-lines. Evem he couldn't make it work, since they gave the actors NOTHING to portray.
Three Rivers actors were SUPERB in portraying the never-ending crisis-level of a hospital which specialized in transplants.
I did NOT know many of the actors before this program, though one Hispanic woman WAS familiar to me from other appearances. I think this was the first time she played a "regular" in a show, and she is very talented.
What this network should do is to put it into a week-night schedule. Death, Crashes, and general "pain & suffering" is NOT what we want to see on a Sunday night, getting ready for the week. Sunday eve is best as a night to relax and maybe laugh a bit, or see a less "stressfilled" TV show. I think it WOULD work on a weekday night.
Hope others on this forum think so also, and that the network (cbs, I think) might READ some of these pro-Three Rivers comments.
It IS a good drama and should continue.
Media World: NPR's Carl Kasell retiring as voice of reason (but he'll still rhyme) (Daily Finance)
Nov 30th 2009 3:13PM I mis-typed:
It's not much -- Russia's and China's small attempt at the truth, WHILE "npr" JUST promotes more'n'more guv'ment blah-blah incessantly, and NEVER "both" sides!

Nov 30th 2009 3:06PM re: miserBLOF:
Gosh, this guy's SO brainwashed, that he probably ACTUALLY believes the drivel he just wrote.
In reality, "npr" is PURE propaganda, "Soviet-style".
Even now, Russia and China sometimes give both sides:
Read Pravda's WARNING on-the-front-page TO the U.S. about how it is loosing it's freedom, as well as capitalism, under the last and current administrations. Then, even China WARNS us to reign-in our borrowing and debt-level.
It's not much, but "npr" just promotes more'n'more guv'ment blah-blah incenssantly.
"Propaganda-free" -- ya GOTTA be kiddin'.
Eggo Waffle Shortage Blamed on Flooding (Slashfood)
Nov 18th 2009 3:15PM When Wal-Mart was out of their $1.25 GENERIC Blueberry Waffles, I tried Eggo Buttermilk waffles instead.
Terrible!
They tasted like CRACKERS, plain SALTINES. Utterly sickening. Will NEVER buy them again. NEVER!!!
Good old "cheapies" were faaaaar better, tho NOT as good as my "home-made" ones, minus all the SALT.

Parents Get Married At Son's Funeral (ParentDish)
Sep 9th 2009 1:59AM Incredibly SAD story. But these Parents DID choose to HONOR their son's wishes.....FINALLY. Where he now is, he KNOWS of their Marriage. Too bad it took this for them to REALIZE how important it is to CHILDREN to HEAR what they think EVEN at so young an age. God Bless ALL of Your Family. And my condolences to all of you also.

Tyler Perry Treats Philly Pool Kids to Disney World (BV Black Spin)
Jul 22nd 2009 2:54PM In the mid-70's, my son Jeff had a new "Best-Friend" as a 5-year old. His name is Keith. These two did EVERYTHING together. Keith went places with us, Jeff went places with Keith's family and to Keith's cousin's homes.
I'm a 68-yr old white guy. The two boys are NOW 38 years old. And I'm STILL proud of them BOTH.
Yes, Jeff is white, Keith is black. And that WAS back in the 70's and 80's. So THIS story was shocking, after ALL these years.
BTW, my Grandson Tim (Jeff's son) had a black friend also. His name is Alix. This is so "normal" today, it's hard to imagine an incident of such magnitude -- a GROUP of kids rejected.
Thank GOD for folks like Tyler Perry, who CAN do something like this for those kids.
God Bless the Kids. God Bless Tyler Perry.

Jorja Fox Returning to 'CSI' (Inside TV Blog)
Jul 22nd 2009 2:27PM Post # 110 got it right. She left for greener pastures (twice, actually) and Hollywood determined that she had NO TALENT, since she rarely appeared anywhere else. Then, poor baby, she decides to be "available" for occasional guest-shots. Boooo!
Many posters said: "kill her off" in their comments, and I guess I agree. She's NOT a good actress, and the "character" was always pathetic.
A few people suggested WAYS to bring back Gary Dourdan, "Warrick Brown". The FBI "staging" his death to keep him safe for whatever-reason? Not too bad an idea.
Georgia (mis-spelled as jorja) is an all-around loser. The grass WAS NOT greener. Go get a job as a waitress, like so many others do when the producers realize that they can't ACT. You HAD your chance, now STAY away.
Hey, Bruckheimer, you USUALLY do fantastic work. This is your ONLY mistake, as far as I can tell.
Creatively, bring back Warrick as a regular and Grissom as a guest, IF he's not currently STILL in "Live Stage" in Chicago.
