Jun 20th 2011 1:15PM I'm sorry, but true love can be timeless, but aren't there laws about under age sex etc? One could applaud the man for marrying the girl, but for me this is beyond creeping me out, I actually feel physically sick reading this story. Sorry, that's just the way I feel when I hear a 51 year old man, married a 16 year old girl, however mature she might seem, in the eyes of the law of this country, she is still a child.

Jun 20th 2011 1:11PM Let's not say "poor woman, the evil man coerced her" ever again to one of these stories - I am SO sick of that crapola. SHE knew he was married, HE knew he was married, BOTH knew it was wrong and did it anyway. Therefore both to blame. As to Maria, I have no idea if she knew or not, but maybe she was the forgiving kind like so many women are (not me!), and she forgave him time and again (something I never understand). I am sick of hearing about skanky women sleeping with rich guys and having kids (don't tell me THAT wasn't on purpose!), and equally skanky man-ho's sleeping with any woman whose knickers they can get into. What happened to faithfulness? I'd vote for a divorced politician, rather that than one who doesn't want to be with his wife and shags everything in sight!

Apr 20th 2011 2:09PM I love Tyler Perry - and I am definitely not a black person - I am one of those pale, freckly white people who run from the sun or get burned to a crisp. His movies are sometimes silly, but he has made some great stories too - you could say the same of many movie makers - white, black, green or purple, sometimes we don't like their movies, it's just a matter of taste. Personally, I like Tyler and his movies - I too am fed up with Spike Lee shooting his mouth off - use that mouth for something good Spike - criticizing a fellow film maker isn't doing you any good, or Tyler. There are plenty of causes that could use someone articulate to argue for them!

Feb 13th 2011 12:29AM I got stuck on the splash boat ride in Magic Kingdom for 45 minutes (the log ride one I think it is called Splash Mountain) - it was on my honeymoon and I never even thought for a moment to even complain let alone sue. Stuff breaks down, no biggie, these people are just greedy, and the nacho cheese one is sounding a whole lot like the Wendy's bogus finger claim. Greed is alive and well and living in suburban America!

Feb 12th 2011 8:56PM Also, keep track of what your child is eating - if the anxiety is greater on some days than others then it could be food intolerance related. It took doctors years to figure out I had massive food intolerance to Salicylate, and it was causing headaches, anxiety, mood issues, you name it - certain foods just make me completely crazy, and of all things, broccoli is one of them! I would urge any parent to think about what they are feeding their child because even healthy foods can be bad for some people, like me!

Feb 11th 2011 11:20AM I have food intolerances, which are the same as allergies only it's like you start with an empty bucket and the more things that you are intolerant of that you eat/drink, the fuller the bucket is and the worse you feel. MANY children diagnosed with allergies and ADHD etc, should really be checked for dietary problems that cause their other issues. I am Salicylate intolerant - Google it and you'll find tons of info about symptoms etc. Symptoms include things as bad as anaphylactic (spelling?) shock, or more milder like hives, or other things like asthma attacks, irritable behavior, headaches, stomach issues, behavioral problems. And this is from all kinds of natural healthy foods - I cannot even be around the smell of fresh oranges, cannot eat broccoli, artichokes, cannot have spices of any kind, cannot eat gravies, no potato chips, no fruit juices, the list is endless - but once you start only having the low end reaction stuff you sleep better, behave better, scratch less or no at all, asthma can disappear totally. It's worth checking out for anyone who is unsure on the allergies their kids have and wants to talk to a doctor more about this!

Feb 11th 2011 8:55AM There may be some spin going on for Lindsay but look how much publicity this store has gotten - they would have had to pay thousands to get this much press in real advertizing, but doing this they are getting their store mentioned daily. Don't tell me their sales won't go up because of this, and that does make me wonder at an ulterior motive, especially as Lindsay isn't apparently seen on the security video pocketing anything - she does walk out in full view of everyone wearing the necklace!!!

Feb 10th 2011 2:28PM She won the contest at a certain size based on how she looks in a bikini so it IS all about size and looks and it is totally superficial, but she KNEW going in to this type of competition that she would have to remain the same size. It's all about image and about the winner being exactly as they were when they won, if she put on 10 pounds quite quickly then it probably means she was starving herself to be what she thought was small enough for the contest and her body just wanted to go back to normal. Size 2 is not big, neither is size 12, BUT she entered a contest, signed a contract and said she wanted to be the queen and the contract will have stated conditions and the biggest one in pageants (I used to enter them when I was younger and naive!) is to maintain your weight. They don't want you to lose or gain, they want you EXACTLY as you were the day you won the pageant - the same size, the same shape, the same everything. If she gained weight, she breached her contract, if she was late too, then she was simply not ready to be a pageant queen, people think it's easy, but believe me, all the public appearances etc are not that easy at all!

Feb 10th 2011 2:21PM I hate to come out on the Pageants side, especially as I am a woman too and know the pressures put on women, BUT she did sign a contract and say she would remain as she was when she won. Any beauty pageant where you reign for a year will stipulate that you remain the same for that year - they also make a whole load of other demands too. If she did gain weight, maybe she gained quite a lot - saying size 2 means nothing to most people, did she gain 10-20 pounds? If so, then the wardrobe of clothes alloted to her as the winner would have to be altered and would cause issues on photo shoots. I think a lot of young women like the idea of being crowned the queen and don't realize the amount of work that will have to be done all year long to be that queen. Maybe the injunction by the courts has made her realize she has to live up to the contract she signed and from now on she will do everything to BE the queen that won. Otherwise, let the runner up have a go, she might be willing to fulfill her contractural duties. I hate to say that 10 pounds is a lot or should matter, but in the business of beauty pageants, which are in my opinion archaic and ridiculous, size does matter as it is all about the way things look on the outside, not who you are on the inside. If my daughter ever wanted to enter a pageant like this I would probably ground her for as long as it took for her to come to her senses and realize you don't get ahead in life just by lookign pretty, it might work for a little while, but working hard makes you feel a whole lot happier!
