Charged Up About Batteries: Why Are They So Expensive? (AOL Autos - Translogic)

Jun 26th 2010 11:57PM there is be a problem with electric cars that hasn't been discussed. How will the government charge for transportation fuel, gsa, gasoline, diesel, etc. With and electric vehicle, you just plug it in at home or setup a solar panel or wind generator at home. No fuel tax. The Govt. wont like that.

DIY Diary: Renovation Red Flags (DIY Life)

Apr 10th 2010 5:34PM THE LAST TIME I HAD A CONTRACTOR DO SOME WORK FOR ME WAS 8 YEARS AGO. HE GAVE US AN ESTIMATE AND SAID IT COULD VARY ABOUT 10%. NO MONEY UPFRONT. $40,000 JOB AND IT WAS DONE IN A WEEK. WE HAD ONE PROBLEM WITHIN THE FIRST YEAR WHEN AN EXHAUST FAN FAILED. WE TOLD HIM AND HE REPLACED IT WITHIN A WEEK.

HE SAID"NEVER PAY UP FRONT"

Honda plans to settle Civic Hybrid mileage suit out of court. Is it a fair deal? (Autoblog Green)

Dec 16th 2009 9:38PM lousy gas mileage has more to do with driver that surge than the cars potential. In 1990 I purchased a new Caddi, front wheel drive with an advertised milage of 18/24 mpg. I am a very conservative driver and found that I could average 32 mpg if I avoided a jack rabbit start. I kept that cat for 250,000 miles with the original engine. If the owner of a Honda with or without batteries can't do as well then there is something wrong with the driver.

Nia Long Gets Naked for PETA (BV on Style)

Aug 14th 2009 10:05AM If we gave up on the use of "FUR" Those animals would never be born. The same can be said for all farm animals. We as humans could eat fruits and vegtables only, then PETA would be out of work because those animals would not be born either. There would be fewer humans as well. This is a good thing.

One-third of married moms have cheated! (ParentDish)

May 12th 2008 12:20AM My first wife and I were married 25 years when she said that she didn't want to be married any longer. Why? Because I wasn't loving her enough. Unfortunately, She didn't know the difference between love and lust. I never cheated on her because I loved her and was still in love with her. We got the divorce. I got the children and she got alimony. Two years later I met someone that I could love again and we got married. Twenty-five years later we are still married, and my first wife jumped. 25 floors. I guess she was lonely or crazy.

Energy-Saving Bulbs Causing Migraine Headaches (Switched)

Jan 5th 2008 6:12PM Fluorescent flicker has been around since we switched from DC to AC.. By mounting the lamps perpendicular to each other the flicker cancels. The spiral lamp does not have a flicker. Most headaches are caused by the bluish light. An LED lamp has a worse problem, no flicker bue a bluer light. With a little effort a spiral lamp can be made to run on DC. An easy job for a decent Engineer. My father did it during WWll. It was called a button start. With modern SS technology it could be done to the spirals.

Jun 28th 2007 12:08PM wow, another paris hilton brat. if her mother starts now with withdrawal, the brat has a mild chance of being human. if her mother is smart, she should get herself a dog and send her daughter to the pound to be fixed.
