Makeover Diaries: Just the Way I Am, Only Sexier (Stylelist)

Sep 29th 2010 2:29PM Wow, negative people. What a surprise.

Ignore 'em. It is an improvement, especially the hair color, and a step in the right direction can lead to more. It's hard to lose weight when you're depressed and uninspired, after all,so hopefully this will trigger a change.

Friday Night Fights (MyDaily)

Sep 29th 2010 2:21PM ...The fact that the kids understood it was just a game and the parents didn't is both saddening and uplifting.

Lady Gaga Reviving Giorgio Armani Brand (Stylelist)

Sep 28th 2010 2:28PM ...The 'ring' dress makes it look like a hula hoop factory threw up on her.

What's Hot Now -- Bad Teeth (Lemondrop)

Sep 22nd 2010 2:35PM It shouldn't matter if someone's teeth are a bit crooked. If they aren't going to die of starvation because their teeth are so out of whack they can't chew, they do not need to go through the pain of braces.

Yes, imperfect teeth can cause self esteem issues among children now...but only because braces are being pushed so hard by dentists on patients with healthcare that covers it. If they would stop using them for cosmetic purposes- unless it was really awful, not just a slight problem like most people's teeth- the stigma would go away.

I have a lopsided smile, but I like it. It gives me more character than a bunch of perfect little rectangles.

Anti-Aging Ice Cream on the Way? (Stylelist)

Sep 22nd 2010 2:27PM ...Or, we could all just drink green tea, which already has antioxidants and absolutely no calories (because you don't put sugar in green tea unless you're weird!) Plus, the same amount of cash you pay for a gallon of ice cream is many months' worth of good green tea. Not the lousy bagged stuff- but loose-leaf, high quality before-the-rains green tea.

Human Skulls Found in Luggage, Two U.S. Tourists Charged (AOL Travel News)

Sep 17th 2010 2:27PM While it IS legal to own human skulls, only skulls from countries legally exporting them can be imported. Greece is not one of those countries; in fact, I'm pretty sure none exist anymore. China stopped exporting around the same time as the Beijing Olympics, and India stopped ages ago.

Now the only bones that can be legally sold and traded are those brought in from China/India/act before the export ban. Prices on a legally obtained human skull are usually $500+. . .You'd think the salesmen in Greece would have known what a real skull was worth!

Edgy New Moon Manicures Arise at New York Fashion Week Spring 2011 (Stylelist)

Sep 13th 2010 2:23PM The futuristic moon one is hideous as all can get out, but the first one is really cool. I might just have to try it sometime.

10 Co-Workers Never to Befriend (Lemondrop)

Sep 8th 2010 2:26PM ...Aw. So you aren't supposed to be nice and bring snacks for the break room? Too bad, I still like sharing baked goods. It's that or wind up eating them all myself.

Fall Trends: Top Hair Trends and Beauty Trends for Fall 2010 (Stylelist)

Sep 6th 2010 6:29PM Other than the natural look (which I already use, since spending more than 10 minutes in the mirror- and that includes hair- disagrees with me), I cannot say that I would try any of these. They look...well, slutty, to put it bluntly.

How to Wear White After Labor Day (Stylelist)

Sep 6th 2010 6:24PM I wear white undergarments because that's what comes in cheap packages, and I actually look better in white shoes. Possibly because I AM a nerd, but either way. . .

Rules are made to be broken, even rules about breaking rules.
