Great Job Openings, No Candidates (AOL Jobs)

Nov 5th 2009 7:23PM Maybe they should save the signing bonuses and the referal bonuses and get someone with some of the required experience and train them. Part of the problem is emerging technologies. A lot of people can't afford to go back to college in the HOPE that they'll get a job. Spend the money on training then you'll have exactly what you need instead of someone that comes close. DUH

Author Urges Parents To Quit Hovering (ParentDish)

Oct 1st 2009 7:10PM She makes alot of sense. parents do not understand the disservice they do when they don't allow their kids to learn important life lessons about losing and compromising and getting picked last, during childhood. by putting them in virtual bubble wrap, when these things come later on in life, and mommy can't complain to the principal to fix everything, they can't cope. then the parents don't understand what happened when their kid goes postal or suicidal because they didn't get a promotion or they got laid off.

JCPenney: "We Don't Do African-American Hair" (Blackvoices Main)

Nov 26th 2008 9:30AM i had an issue with penny's salon when i was told that it would cost me extra to get my hair done cause i had "black" hair. the receptionist should have said we don't have anyone experienced with doing black hair and let the woman have the option of getting it done there or not. that way the company doesn't seem discriminatory and she can't sue later if her hair got jacked up.

Racists React to Obama Victory (Politics Daily)

the first African American president of the United States......that is so untrue...you say hes the first african american president..hes not even that his mom is white and his dad is muslim black so he is a mutt like he said so it should say hes the first half breed to run our country"
Just one more misinformed person. he is an African- American. his mother is American his father is African and he was born in the US.If you saw him on the street and knew nothing about him you wouldn't say he's probably bi-racial, you'd say he was black. The Black people of the united states are the people who are NOT African-American, we are the most mixed group of people in the world. I am considered African-American BUT my paternal grandmother is Powhatan(Native American)my Paternal great-grandfather is Irish my maternal great-great grandfather is chinese. my husband is Cherokee,Dominican and african. Look back at the laws concerning a BLACK person in America. You'll see that 1/64th drop of black blood makes you black and The president elect is half and half. You got yourself a BLACK president deal with it.

Cinematical Seven: Most Overrated Actors (Cinematical)

Apr 24th 2007 7:26AM Hey i like Ben Kingsley. Personally i think Sandra Bullock and Nicholas Cage should be added. A good actor is able to make you forget the actor and see only the role. these two never get that across. every character they play is the same. And don't even get me started on Keanu Reeve who must've made a deal with the devil. No one who is that bad an actor can luck into the roles he stumbles into without a devil deal.

Oh Hollywould you? (Stylelist)

Oct 20th 2006 4:04PM ewwww!!!!! i could deal with the pointy toe and i don't mind the croc stamp but the total package is awful. really it's ruined by the heel more then anything. kinda looks like one got broken off by accident so they broke the other to match so they wouldn't have to go home and change. If you have $700 to spend on shoes go to bluefly and at least get a cute pair of expensive shoes :P
