Land Rover says Range Rover branding is "in flux right now" (Autoblog)

Feb 12th 2011 6:07PM Either the author of this article has never understood that a Range Rover is made by Land Rover or Tata is making an idiotic marketing move. Land Rover is the manufacturer, why would you create another manufacturing company called Range Rover?

Most people that are unfamiliar with Land Rovers think that an LR3 is actually called a Land Rover for the model name and the Range Rover is the Range Rover. This potentially new Range Rover branding makes no sense.

All monitors can do 3D if you have glasses timed to your video card.

Sorry, I was mistaken about the new model's inputs due to the advanced technical writing skills of Vlad. "HDMI and DVI connections come in packs of two, accompanied by a lone DisplayPort."

You're still missing some inputs that are handy. It would be great if there was some form of IR or RS-232 control for on/off and switching inputs.

What these new monitors need the most is a thinner outside bezel so that multi-monitor setups are easier on the eyes.

Aug 6th 2010 12:51AM Since no one has properly discussed the differences between the Dell 30" monitors I will try to help since I use all three of the existing 30" models.

UltraSharp 3007WFP
- Must use Dual-link DVI to reach 2560x1600, otherwise max resolution is 1280x800 using standard DVI
- No other inputs

UltraSharp 3007WFP-HC
- Same as above but expanded color accuracy.

UltraSharp 3008WFP
- Multiple inputs, similar to a TV without a remote
- Same resolution of 2560x1600 but you can use either Dual-link DVI or DisplayPort
- Side-by-side input viewing
- Improved colors

UltraSharp U3011
- Only uses DisplayPort input
- This model would be prefect for Dell E-Series Laptop docks
- You could drive two of these at 2560x1600 from a Latitude or Precision laptop!
- The UltraSharp 3008WFP is still the superior monitor, this model should will probably replace the UltraSharp 3007WFP-HC that uses Dual-Link DVI.

Side note: You cannot currently convert a DisplayPort output to Dual-Link DVI for 2560x1600 resolution.

Report: MI towing co. files $750k lawsuit against student over Facebook page [w/video] (Autoblog)

Apr 19th 2010 8:26PM T&J stole my Jeep while I was attending WMU. They removed a parking pass from my vehicle minutes after I parked and towed the vehicle. I contacted the police and the towing company was above the law simply because they had reported the towing. Very frustrating! There should be a class action against T&J!

Jan 20th 2010 4:23PM Talk to an expert in your area. CEDIA.net is a nice place to begin searching.

The Harmony line may seem like a great value, but look deeper into other available products and you will find many more useful control and automation features.

Spyder3HDMI doesn't need any help to calibrate your TV (Engadget HD)

Jan 6th 2010 8:37AM SpyderTV has not been an automated calibration solution for a while! This is the first SpyderTV product that is self-calibrating. More importantly, it will not work with any digital TV unless the OEM embeds Datacolor's software into their product. $99 is an amazing price if it works.
