Aug 12th 2009 11:32AM The notion that he is being blackballed is ridiculous. He hasnt been signed yet because teams have their camp rosters set and are giving a fair chance to the guys they drafted, acquired through Free agency, or have earned a chance to at least be looked at through camp.
As soon as a team has reason to jettison one of their guys, Vick will get his chance. If anyone gets injured, he will get a chance. Lets remember, he is suspended for several games as well so what team wants to carry a QB with his baggage? (meaning out of football for a while and not being that great a passer) Its still a risk to take him now and teams are going to give the guys they selected to be in camp a fair chance before taking a chance on someone like Vick.

Jan 12th 2009 3:09AM Another aspect to look at is how the teams that had a week off fared worse than the ones who have been playing regularly since the season ended.
Home field or not, the teams that had a week off seemed rusty and ineffective against teams that have been forced to play week in and week out.
This weekends games may have more to say about having momentum and focus rather than home fields and time off.

May 1st 2007 7:41AM Drafting 10 spots is great but c'mon. "Finally" getting someone for Vick to throw to? Lets see. Former Pro-bowler Peeless Price. Two first rounds picks in White and Jenkins and now Joe Horn. Those guys are crap yet this kid from a 1-AA school is the savior at WR? Please. Dominating defense? Where? Did I miss something last season where the defense was ever at least average? Take off the rose colored glasses. It was a GOOD draft and for the Falcons that is amazing but lets not go nuts.
