They are paid millions to be ready to "PLAY to WIN" no matter who is under center. Dec 26th 2008 1:50PM While some points may be true I would not go as far as calling the NBA "Ghetto Garbage." Alot of players had to bust ass to get out of the Ghettos they grew up in. How many thugs do you know that have H.S. diplomas or college degrees? Oh wait those are called the educated thugs on Wall Street and those Fortune 500 companies where robbing and stealing is usually overlooked or they are bailed out by Uncle Sam. I call it legalized embezzlement, and extortion. Hell they make the NBA look like small time players. They may not wear baggy pants, and they much prefer their tailored made suits and their possees are called business associates, or partners, and the only sweat they've broken is when the fear of getting caught comes to mind. Funny thought would be of an AIG corporate hotshot getting into his Jaguar after they've bilked an investor and pumping "F*^K DA POLICE." Ok, enough jokes, so lets talk about Hip Hop and its influence....No one batted an eye or at least publically, when Michael Phelps said he pumps Young Jeezy and that it was his music along with Lil Wayne that he listened to and it helped motivate him to win his gold medals, go figure. Hip Hop has infiltrated all walks of life and what music do you hear being pumped into the arenas where the games are held? Hip Hop. Saggy shorts have nothing to do with it nor does tattoos, nor the possees they hang out with, nor commercials. These Athletes have been paraded more as entertainers than Athletes, and most come from the festivities at the All Star games where the slam dunk contest looks more like an America's Got Talent competition tnan a Athletic event, so spare me your rhetorical B.S. and look at it for what it is. The NBA created this monster and the players they draft and give crazy money to fed into it. I have been hearing more problems with the NFL than the NBA so go bark up a different tree. The problems with the NBA is just a small fragment of the shambles of our nation. By the way have you seen what these coporate thugs have done to America? Have you looked at the unemployment numbers? Better yet have you looked at the staggering numbers of incarcerated young Black men in America? If you have then you would come to appreciate that these young men that you are calling "Ghetto Garbage" are actually doing something constructive with their lives and using the talents that God has blessed them with. Thank you.

I don't agree with the scrutiny he has been under, and I am sure that when he posed a question to Obama he didn't think it would backfire on him and expose every nook and cranny of his life.
