Elizabeth Hasselbeck and Whoopi Goldberg Have Emotional Race Discussion {News Bloggers}
Jul 20th 2008 3:44AM Let's end the debate and stop all the tears. All the crying in the world won't get Elizabeth her N-Card or enable her to say the word. This fuss is about ending an unfair double standard that allows someone close to us to disrespect us. What a club? Why would anyone want to be in a club that calls them lazy or worse? Elizabeth's tears share what's in her heart. She feels left out and wants to call someone the word so bad she cries crocodile tears for the opportunity.
Does the Vice President Really Matter? {News Campus Blog}
Jul 19th 2008 3:20AM This seems like an intelligent group that's politically saavy. The Vice President only matters when the President offered is "incomplete." President Bush was incomplete because he was a complete idiot. He needed the focus and balance provided by a Dick Cheney type. Steady hand on the trigger, but someone with a little less partisan agenda. John Kerry was incomplete. He had a stiff personality and he was a hard sell alone. Matching him with his top rival was great, but he got undercut by more skillful politicians in his own party. Obama is incomplete because he's no Gen. Colin Powell. Add the military expertise to Obama and that ticket is a winner anywhere that isn't too bitter to care about being one nation. There are some places in America that Colin Powell couldn't get elected. They just aren't ready. The VP matters if the Prez is incomplete. McCain is incomplete too due to his age and anger. America wants to win, but we don't want to fight endlessly.
Network News Anchors in Obama's Entourage {Political Machine Blog}
Jul 17th 2008 4:36PM This is a non story about the Republican spinners trying to stop America from focusing on Iraq and their cry for freedom from an occupation. If we never see them cry out, some of us actually think they like having guns pointed at them. The Surge did what it was intended to do. It stopped our troops from dying needlessly. The Surge was necessary, but it did not do what needs to be done in Iraq. They are not free and that's the only way to judge success.
AOL Straw Poll: July 7-14 {Political Machine Blog}
Jul 17th 2008 4:17AM This election will test the ability of fear to keep our eyes and minds shut. They are throwing the book at Obama and it to some degree is working. I'm waiting for someone to try and be a hero or a martyr and use "The N-word." To some, this is about the heart, soul, and purity of America. They will stop at nothing to keep throwing salt in the wounds to create chaos. This election will determine if we are worthy of being called, "One Nation Under God." It's shameful to say it, but racial intolerance never goes away it dies as generations grow old. Thank God, we did not teach our youth to hate.
It's Time To Start Making Fun of Obama {News Bloggers}
Jul 15th 2008 5:53PM Harvard Educated, Liberal, Inexperienced, Leader. I didn't say he's Black in five words. I also didn't mention he's anti-war, but the fact that he's Black and anti-war create his core support. If Obama attacks either one, he's done. Being Cosby critical isn't helping Obama win the Black vote. McCain's age is Obama's greatest advantage. If the GOP offered someone younger than Dick Cheney and not ready to grab a shotgun, they could win. Bush is the problem. Anything other than Bush is "Change" if they end this war. McCain won't.
The All-Star Game Could Call the Election {News Campus Blog}
Jul 15th 2008 5:40PM On the basis of what you've shared, I'd take the National League to win this in a snoozer. Josh Hamilton has already won the MVP based on the Homerun contest. All the players you mentioned on the AL side have been injured or are battling injury. Ichiro, Jeter, and Manny have been hurt. The game is meaningless so why not take the NL and Obama? Old is overrated.
Chocolate Flavored 'Daily Show' for Black Folks {Black Voices Blog}
Jul 15th 2008 5:29AM If the show is limited to making fun of only "Black" people then the show is doomed to fail because it's doing the job of the Klan bringing down the Black man. If the show is about "Blacks being funny" looking at the news, then that's a damn classic waiting to happen. Can you picture a "Black Paris Hilton?" What do Black men think about Britney Spears? Why is Pimping Not Easy? Who loves chicken more Blacks or Koreans? Watermelon has viagra in it? The Black man's secret is out. I'm available.
Obama on Women, Dr. Phil, Gilligan {Political Machine Blog}
Jul 10th 2008 5:09PM I can't take Obama seriously if he can't tell Hillary the truth. All she needs to do is to write a book about her failed campaign in a humble way. America would buy the book and get something in return for their donation. It's payback for the charity we have given the Clintons following the Lewinsky Scandal. How many of us dropped a pretty penny to read that crap? Write a book, don't be a crook. Hillary is extorting the Party and Obama. America isn't stupid.
'When' - New DNC Video {Political Machine Blog}
Jul 10th 2008 3:18AM Look at all the pessimestic views shared on this blog? Where is the American spirit that led the world before "MY PET GOAT" was so important? We Can do anything we demand our government do. McCain won't listen, but Obama will. It's just that simple. Affirmative Access is a Republican theme.
Why Obama's Move to the "Center" is a Bad Idea {News Bloggers}
Jul 9th 2008 1:35PM The danger of an Obama move to the center is it highlights his political inexperience. Obama is a Democrat. Nothing more and nothing less. Moving to the middle like a "Flip-flop" makes him look like he's not proud of the opposing positions he took against this admininstration. There's nothing wrong with being a Democrat. Introducing a new label or a new brand of politics this late in the game wouldn't be "Progress" it would be surrender. Progress for the sake of movement isn't progress it's pandering for votes, it's weakness, and it's surrender. Obama is a Democrat.
