Mar 7th 2012 7:18AM YEP....they were pretty hilarious....and uninspiring enough to
NOT even want to go "see" up close and personal.
Tho what is just as bad is realtors who put NO pictures up....
or FEW pictures up.....or have nothing but a "video" on YouTube...
as some of us have dial-up and just don't get to watch videos....
But then there are some realtors that put up such GREAT pictures
that you can actually discern the "floorplan" FROM the pictures...
which is awesome when you are 150 miles away from your "target"
area.....

Mar 5th 2012 10:52PM YEP.....am looking to move and one of the FIRST things I ask
for is any "covenants and restrictions".....whew !!
Those last ones you mentioned are EXTREME and the one
with the 4 yr. old truck....and you couldn't GIVE me a home
in a place like that....
The little subdivision I am interested in is relatively OLD...
like mid-80's old....and the restrictions are NOT "off the
chart".... Just mainly privacy fence location...number of
animals (couldn't be a hoarder here)...and really not much
more than that.... I could even put a 12x16 workshop out
back if I wanted to.
What REALLY bugs me....is the "restrictions" on a "townhouse"...
and if you wanted to replace the front door with a "full leaded
glass door"....you would have to get permission BEFORE you even
made an offer.....uh....or risk not being able to make that change
AFTER you made it "your home"....
I currently live on 3 totally wooded secluded acres with absolutely
NO restrictions whatsoever.... You could paint the house "flamingo
pink" if you wanted to.... But then hey....it's so secluded no one
could see your "little pink house" anyway......:)
Some restrictions may be good....re: junk cars,etc....but some of
them are just so "out in left field".......

THAT "condition"....that she could live there til her "death"....is
called a "life estate"....
RE: the statement:

****A quitclaim deed is a transfer of property in which the homeowner "quits" ownership and transfers the property to a recipient.
I simply do NOT see HOW...he can legally "quitclaim" a property that
has ALREADY been "transferred" with a "life estate" condition attached....
and WITHOUT her SIGNATURE... AND...EVEN IF he has "power of attorney"
for her....UNTIL SHE DIES (thanks to this "life estate" attachment)....
he cannot LEGALLY do ANYTHING with this property.....even "quitclaim"
it.....
I can only assume that this "bastard of a son"....figured that his
mother would "cave in"....rather than "go to battle"....
I hope she has a REALLY good lawyer.....and a "pro bono" one
at that.

Ummm....Evidently there were OTHER "noise issues" from this household.
And this woman wants to conveniently "forget" the OTHER issues and
turn this into a "Woe is me.....they are trying to kick me out because
of my child laughing"......

This is probably TRUE...however....there is nothing that would
prevent them from doing so...."off site" somewhere...
Like I said.....their "actions"....go MORE to revealing
their MORAL COMPASS (or lack of)....than they actually
want to realize.

WOW....what a "kind and gentle" community these "humans"
(and I use that term loosely)....ARE......towards their
neighbors....
Evidently....they don't have the "capacity" to host a
"benefit"....a "fund-raiser"....a "bake-sale".....
or just flat out...flat ass DONATIONS to help this
senior with 340 bucks.....
Their "actions"...or lack of "compassionate" actions...
says a LOT more about THEM....than they will want to
realize..........
HUD Renegs on Letting Evicted 101-Year-Old Return Home (AOL Real Estate)
Jan 23rd 2012 3:58PM Hmmm.....a "reverse mortgage".....WOULDN"T there have had to
be an "inspection" to get a "reverse mortgage"....or any kind
of mortgage for that matter..... Wouldn't HUD have inspected it
during THAT process ???
They kick her out and two days later tell her she can come back....
SO...WHEN did HUD schedule this "inspection"...during that 2 days ??
HUD is NOT notorious for "rushing" to do anything........
I have personal experience with FmHA....and FmHA operates under
HUD "guidelines".....
In 1983....I had a Farmer's Home House...which turned out to be
"structurally defective".... To make a LONG story short....
Byron Pitts (now of CBS news in NY)....did a news story on my
house..... During all the "brou-ha-ha" that surrounded this
3 yr. battle.... I was even "threatened" by the FmHA State
Architect on the phone.... He stated..."Young lady, you've
got yourself just enough 'education' to get yourself in
trouble"..... THAT didn't set too well...when it blasted
over the airwaves.... This story in Pitt Co.,NC reverberated
ALLL the way to the Capital in Raleigh.....and ran 2 days...at
Noon...6 and 11....in an almost 4 minute spot...
I WON that "battle".....and can tell you from experience...
There is NOTHING.....NOTHING....that is "beneath" them to
do....HUD or ANY agency connected thereof...
It would NOT be "out of character" for them to DO an inspection...
for the SOLE purpose of manufacturing a "reason" to keep her OUT
of the home...hoping the reason is "plausible enough" to NOT
draw public ire......again.
I am just SOOOO....NOT surprised.....
