The Power of Names: Do They Really Define You? (MyDaily)

Mar 26th 2011 10:40AM So far I have lived in Hartford, Plainville, Simsbury, Exeter, Arlington, Detroit, Florissant, Manchester, East Hartford, Glastonbury, Boston, Reading, Derry, and Haverhill. I chose Florissant a long time ago because I could buy a good home for $25,000 in a good neighborhood with a good school system, and "F' isn't my first initial, anyway.

Pop-Ed: Tiger Woods Needs To Love Himself Before He Can Love Someone Else (PopEater)

Mar 22nd 2011 4:56PM You say No? I say wait and see and hope for the best. The social pressure for Tiger to shape up is enormous, and a relapse to his previous trists would be devastating for him both personally and professionally.

Feb 17th 2011 4:44PM lshinoha, you are one of the heros of this society, and "disapproval" of your role as a single mom is thoughtless. Can Small-Business Owners Save Congress? (AOL Small Business)

Jan 5th 2011 6:32PM Looking at this list for the number of jobs created, the total documented was 194 jobs, an average of 32 per entrepreneur. Of the three listed without job counts, one raises horses, one severely criticized the stimulus, then took on a fully stimulus-funded job, and the third owns a health food restaurant. Only one had a possibly important impact, the one who “played a role” in building “as many as” 60 companies. The common thread to their advice is to reduce taxes for small businesses, an issue upon which they should recuse themselves. What this country needs is a new Henry Ford who will generate large numbers of jobs for average Americans.

PopEater's Celebrity of the Year: Kim Kardashian (PopEater)

Dec 27th 2010 9:38PM This selection illustrates convincingly that the term "celebrity" has been watered down to zilch. Time was when celebrities had some high level of talent or benefitted humanity. Not now, not today - and those who promote this trend will find their credibility rounding off to zilch.

'Whatever' Crowned Most Annoying Word for Two Years Running (Lemondrop)

Dec 16th 2010 1:29PM I think "like" beats out "whatever" because it is spoken so much more often, sometimes in the same sentence. Here's a statement I once saw that proves the point: "Who would ever like guess that like the word 'like' would like become the most like popular word in the English like language?"
