Oct 10th 2009 6:56PM The Republicans are SURE they'll 'win BIG' in 2010, hah? Without even seeing what President Obama manages to do AGAINST their obstructionism, re Health Care Reform; bringing the Republican-shattered economy back from the brink--and winning the Nobel Peace Prize. All before having been in office for one year.

They're SURE. Well, I'm sure too. I'm sure the Republicans--despite their Noise Machine--are deeply in the MINORITY. So how can they be SO SURE that they'll win in 2010? I'LL TELL YOU HOW--by quietly looking to see in which "battleground" state can they rig the election machinery.

And this time, if we let them get away with repeats of 2000 and 2004 in Congress and the House--they WILL win. How do we not allow this? By ALL OF US VOTING in 2010. It was ALL OF US who voted in Barack Obama as our President. It will only be ALL OF US who vote Democratic in 2010, to keep our country free.

The Republicans are in the MINORITY. But ALL OF THEM VOTE. If ANY OF US shirk our duty to vote, guess who WILL win in 2010?

That said, I think the Rams should take quite the second look at who'll be paying their salaries, should Limpy's group take them over.

This is America, not Nazi Germany, where a team owned by Hermann Goering might be honored at the ownerwhip. Limp-Bough's America's Goering, and has no place in American sports EXCEPT maybe as a VERY VERY QUIET (preferably fully disguised) SPECTATOR...

Oct 5th 2009 2:57AM Dragonemesis--you're exactly right about Afghanistan. That country full of 10th-century sheepherders has in the past, defeated every single country that tried to conquer her--from Japan through Russia--in the 20th Century. Reason? 3: TERRAIN, TERRAIN, TERRAIN.

Unless the US or someone builds bombproof ESCALATORS up those mountains, ain't nobody conquering anything up there. You want to get the Taliban out of Afghanistan? Bribe 'em. The Afghani are very much like Americans in that respect--they can count and they respect cash most of all.

We should get out of there NOW. The Afghan people (like the Iraqis before them) did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to deserve war from America. And to the eternal question, WHERE's bin LADEN--? Bush would have never 'caught' his old friend Binny, who after all financed his first venture into 'Arbusto' (means 'shrub') Energy. Where's bin Laden now?

In the loving arms of his family and their construction business in Yemen, I'd hazard--where he's been, all through Good Buddy Bush/Cheney's presidency. With 15 SAUDIS taking over those planes on 9/11 (yet mysteriously, NO IRAQIS NOR IRANIANS carrying out the atrocity) Bush/Cheney waged America's armed might into people who had never ever harmed us, but who now (understandably) hate us with every fiber of their being.

On 9/11, once I knew who had staged and carried out the atrocity on our home soil (first since Japan bombed Pearl in 1941) I was looking to the Two Crooks to remember that they were Americans, and nuke Riyadh (Capital of Saudi Arabia) instead of taking our response against a people who had never hurt us, based on a pack of lies that they dreamed up about Saddam and WMD and whatever the hell else lies, all the rest of Bush/Cheney's crack-smoking crew were trying to shove down our throats.

So instead of accellerating the investigation into all things Bush/Cheney--we're having ANOTHER USELESS war thrust upon us. And then, what after Afghanistan--Pakistan? And on and on...that Military-Industrial Complex that my former Republican CINC, Gen. Dwight D. Eisenhower, warned America about, is not about to relinquish its hold on the American People. Not any time soon, it seems.

The President shouldn't listen to draft-dodging scum screaming for WAR!. But then the American People as a whole aren't too bright--they allowed not one but TWO crooked 'elections' to stand, seemingly rejecting a hero of VietNam--Senator John Fitzgerald Kerry of Swift-Boat fame--for another four years with this crooked, economy-destroying, war-losing pair of scum, Bush & Cheney.

Sep 18th 2009 2:17PM In family meetings, my uncle (the only family member of ours who ever had a BofA account) always warns up & coming family members NEVER EVER to hold an account there: they got his account mixed up with that of another person with the same name; co-mingled the monies and both of us had hell's own time getting our own correct amounts of monies from BofA...

Since then, BofA has lost millions of dollars in account fees, from my family alone: in various business accounts (payroll, etc) checking accounts and credit card fees...and, with a record of incompetence that would have stunned Daffy Duck, they had the nerve to stick their hands out to US--their long-abused customers of America--for a BAILOUT!!!!!

"Too big to fail"??? Nope... Bank of America was TOO STUPID NOT TO FAIL.

I heard reference to Bush? OK, let's go: on the economy, Bush was in office for the past 8 years. In economics--as with anything else--things don't happen overnight. The Bush economy culminated in MILLIONS of jobs being lost--and if the counts are adjusted correctly, by now that must be TRILLIONS.

But all that the Bush lovers can think to do is to blame President Obama--who's only been in power for eight short MONTHS??? And who already seems to have slowed down the slide of jobs in the once-richest (and most respected) nation on Earth, down to a trickle?

And then we have "Obama's death camps for granny", or some such--? And the other lies, such as that the National Health Service makes people wait forever for treatment because it's Socialist not Capitalist--?

I didn't need Stephen Hawking to say, as he did last night, that he has, for 45 years, had "the best health care in the world". Lou Gehrig, rest his soul, an American for whom ALS is named--HE couldn't get the care that Hawking got, cause when Gehrig got sick, he wasn't a multimillionaire!

Neither is Stephen Hawking, and that is exactly my point.

When one side tries to reason with screamed lies--when that's the only thing the media (a canned pack of liars--v/v Fox News) can show--when the other side is gleefully tossed on the cutting room floor in service of the liars "bringing" the news to Americans--then all I have to say is this:

America: you've been shackled to a pack of liars. Rise up--as you once did--and free yourselves of this fascistic, Nazi-like uprising--before it gets to be so bad that you are enslaved for good.

Because by then, you'll only have yourselves to blame.
