Reward for missing dog at Washington Dulles {Gadling}
Jul 16th 2008 8:59PM I hope that couple finds the dog. That is terrible what happened. I hope the person who finds the animal refuses the money offered by the couple but take the cash that the airline offered.

Mother files suit against Crocs {ParentDish}
Jul 8th 2008 6:03PM This woman is only after money. If you read the other article this article links to, you will see that the woman sued the airport. I have worked retail in a childrens store for two years. The parents let their kids come into the store and then let them do whatever they want. I can only guess the parents believe we (people working in the store) are responsible for the kids now, so they go off and talk on their cell phones. Only once did we ever get a sorry from a mother when her child made a mess in our store and had her child help us clean up.
Study Finds Virtual Worlds Offer Good Real-World Lessons for Kids {Switched.com}
Jul 2nd 2008 8:09PM I had been a video game salesman for three months before I quit. I was going to school at the time and studying computer programming and become a video game programmer. My result from working there was this:
1. I was more for nintendo games for younger people because they do not have the violence that the other game platforms have.
2. I heard children as young as 6 saying they liked the games where they got to kill and see body parts fly around the screen.
As a result, I changed my major from programming to networking because I would be forced to make games that encouraged all of that stuff. I do not like blood and guts in a video game. Yes I do own several games that some may deem as violent: doom, resident evil, etc. But the games I like the most are about problem solving. I agree that violent games are ok when a parent is there to explain to the child right from wronge. But when I hear little kids saying they like to kill (even in a video game) I question what the parents are doing to say that killing is wronge.
Want to Clone Your Dog? Then Bid on This Auction... {Switched.com}
Jun 28th 2008 10:19PM I agree with people that say we should think about adoption not cloning. My only problem is what the shelters put people through who want to adopt animals. We once tried to adopt and were told we had to surrender our taxes, social security information, and even give them a credit report. We ended up leaving them and adopting from a private individual. I have no hard feelings against the ASPCA but they could make it a little easier for people to adopt. And to Susan who says to donate the money, they should instead of paying to clone the dog. Memories are in our minds, not in our blood.
Too sweet? Organic baby formula {ParentDish}
May 24th 2008 4:11PM People in the middle ages ate organic foods. Their life spans would be in the 50s. Everyone is afraid of the food we make now a days but we are living twice as long.

Lawyer Blames Video Games for NIU Shootings {Switched.com}
May 17th 2008 9:21PM I like to play video games as much as the next guy. I think there is too much violence in video games today, but that is just my opinion. My other opinion is that people see things on tv, video games, etc. and think it looks cool and then want to recreate in in real life. We also call these people morons and we can only hope natural selection gets to them.
