Dolly Opens Up About Marriage, Kids and Pesky Gay Rumors (The Boot)
Mar 24th 2009 9:02PM I would like to interject that for the most part the comments on here were very pleasant. I am african-american female in my early 40's and I must say I have admire Ms. Dolly Parton since my much younger years of life. Although God did not bless her womb to carry a child she and her husband became parents to her five younger siblings. My goodness that was a task because they began parenting older children not infants whom they would have for the most part would have had time on their side which could allowed growth into the parenting process. Instead they thrust themselves into a much difficult task which I believe should be applauded. In remembering that God will not put more on us than we can bear, more children might have been unbearable. We all have assignments here on earth. I admire that she and her husband accepted their assignment and I can imagine a difficult one at that. They stuck it out and God has rewarding them for their faithfulness. And one last thing, in reference to Ms. Dolly sexuality, why are we, the public always trying to label people as gay especially when they are faithful to their God and faithful in completing their assignments given by God. Remember the enemy comes to kill, steal and destroy but Jesus said that he has come to give life and that life more abundantly.
I when I think about that the only way that the enemy can kill, steal and destroy is by distorting the truth. The distortion takes place by acceptancing it in the mind. Once the mind accepts the distortion, the heart is affected which results in the effect of a belief system that operates by contradicting the Word of God which is not in the will of God.

JCPenney: "We Don't Do African-American Hair" (Blackvoices Main)
Dec 4th 2008 3:19PM When I lived in Tuscaloosa, Alabama I went to Dillard's Hair Salon there was a wonderful hairdresser/cosmotologist, Penny, who is Caucasian. Well Ms. Penny did African-American hair as well as other races and to be very honest I liked her better than the African-American hairdressers I had in the past. I moved out of the state now but I sure wished I could afford to moved her here with me. My daughther who is away in college continued to go patron her when she is in Tuscaloosa visiting friends that is until Dillard's closed it's Tuscaloosa location. I sure wish I could moved Ms. Penny here with me. Come on JCPenny get hip to the program of African-American love to look good from our hair to our feet. When you cater to all races it will increase you revenue. Smart don't you think.
