Offering Up a 'Zona Defense (Fanhouse MLB Blog)
May 7th 2010 9:48AM I live in NY, specifically Long Island, and I've read that NYS is opposed to AZ's law. Doesn't surprise me since a few years ago Brookhaven wanted to spend taxpayer money to build housing for all the illegals. All throughout Suffolk County there are street corners, and small shopping centers where illegals gather and get picked up for the day by construction companies, and landscapers who pay them $100.00 a day off the books. Long Island is overrun with illegals and NYS let's it slide and cost the state tons of money. Has anyone in NYS seen their state income tax checks yet or are we going to get an IOU like CA sent out last year. Yeah, let's keep seeing those cigarette taxes keep going up, and the junk food tax, and the pizza tax. That'll show those illegals.
Sad day when it turns out that AZ is tougher than NY. NY, the Namby Pamby state.
Kevin Smith vs. Movie Critics: We Weigh In (Moviefone Blog)
Mar 26th 2010 12:09PM I generally don't go to the movies because of the cost. Most movies are not worth it, and there are other things I would prefer to spend the money on. Netflix is great, but I don't make my decision on if I want to see a movie based on a critic's review. I make my own decision, and if the movie is not as good as I thought it would be (which is most of the time), I didn't lose much.
As for Kevin Smith's rant...he has a point, but his movies are like anyone else's, some good, some not so good, but don't take a critics word for it. Everyone has different tastes.
Help Us in the Campaign against Spam (AOL Mail Blog)
Feb 9th 2010 11:27AM Spam that looks as if it was sent from your own email address does not mean you've been phished, or that someone else has your password. Your email address is being "spoofed". Spammers do this to make sure email does not go to the spam folder. This is not a problem that is specific to AOL, and I don't think there is a way to stop it unless the spammer fails to hide his IP address; which is doubtful. In the event they did not hide their IP address, you can report them to their provider. You can use this website http://cqcounter.com/whois/ to find out who the provider is. Right click the email to get the headers, paste the headers in the forwarded email, and send it to their provider. You can do that with any spam email, but chances are if they are intelligent enough to spoof your email address, they are intelligent enough to hide their originating IP address.
