Fox News Cuts Glenn Beck Off Mid-Rant (VIDEO) (AOL TV)

Jun 4th 2010 1:37PM Just a note to future posters, if you'd like to make a point, brush up on your spelling, grammar, and english prior to doing so.

Otherwise you completely discredit yourself.

Also, Glenn Beck is just trying to get people to actually think about what is going on in the US instead of being spoon-fed what you are supposed to think. If you are going to form an opinion, research and educate yourself about the issues, solutions, and the problems at hand rather than name call and say ridiculous slander.

Children of Gay Parents: Another Student Booted From Catholic School (Politics Daily)

May 15th 2010 12:15PM You can't be a buffet catholic.

Nor should you or can you be a buffet Presbyterian, Baptist, Lutheran, etc etc.

There are rules within the churches for a reason. If there were no rules, or jurisdictions, why would anyone even begin to form beliefs and follow a certain church?! Yes, some religions are closed-minded. ITS INTENTIONAL. If we all changed our beliefs willy-nilly, why would we even bother?

Yes, its wrong to discriminate. But to ask people to change their foundations is absolutely absurd.

May 2nd 2010 11:34AM has anyone forgotten that xtina has been doing the platinum blonde, sex goddess thing BEFORE lady gaga even started her career, or am I the only one that remembers this?

Students Say Weeknight Prom is a Buzz Kill, but That's the Point (ParentDish)

Apr 15th 2010 12:12AM Honestly, Its the parents damned fault for not having control over their children. The school, nor the prom, should have anything to do with it. It is a shame that the educators are willing to put kids at risk grade-wise by having a late night school function on a WEEKNIGHT. I'm all for having strict attendance rules... in my 12 years of pre collegiate schooling I only missed 1 day, but having a PROM on a wednesday night is just asinine.

Martha Stewart's Gold Sequin Pants (Stylelist)

Apr 14th 2010 2:47PM Just because shes a mature woman doesn't mean she can't have style. I do have to say, I disagree with the shirt choice, due to the fact that she has a lovely figure and a black or navy fitted jacket would have done wonders here. But at least the lady dresses with sophistication and class!

She looks a hell of a lot better than the 20 somethings squeezed into mini dresses *cough, negligees*. (save em for the bedroom ladies, if I wanted to see all that I'd buy your sex tapes...)

Long live class!

Woman, 31, With Rare Form of Alzheimer's Doesn't Know Own Baby (AOL Health)

Apr 14th 2010 11:49AM June, please be careful.

Because Vitamin D is fat soluble, there are upper limits to how much you can take in a day. It is exceedingly hard to diagnose a vitamin D overdose, and the effects can be deadly, as they can build up over time. Too much can lead to calcification of your organs. If you are going to supplement, do it a little at a time or intermittently.

To the family in the story, may God bless you with strength and courage at this time. I will keep you in my prayers.

The Cost of Sharing Entrees - What Can I Get You Folks? (Slashfood)

Mar 25th 2010 10:58PM I've worked in this field as both a waitress and a chef.

People like you are the ones I have absolutely no respect for in restaurants or in my kitchen. If you aren't happy serving people... quit serving.

If it bothers you that much that you don't get good tips maybe you should change your attitude.

If you worked for me, you would have been fired, as would have the OP.

The Cost of Sharing Entrees - What Can I Get You Folks? (Slashfood)

Mar 25th 2010 10:55PM I've been both a waitress and a cook in a four star upscale restaurant for 4 years now. It is NOT offensive to split a dish... frankly its kind of disgusting to not split or at least take some of the portion home. If you think about how many calories can be in ONE DINNER ENTREE, and how LARGE that portion is, it is extremely difficult to fathom a family of four finishing one entree let alone ONE PERSON.

For instance, one slice of our plain cheesecake runs upwards of 500 calories. Its huge, its DELICIOUS, but in one sitting, you can ingest over 4000 calories.

A dish of pasta at a chain restaurant can average over 1 pound of pasta *without sauce* and that is over six servings if you were to make it at home. For some, finishing two servings of a dish is a chore... imagine finishing six alone! AHHH!

Waitresses, quit bitching. I've dealt with the best and the worst of patrons, and you buck up and take it in stride. If they want to share, they'll share. To have you hover over their table and then head back to a waitstation to bitch and stare at them is bad form. Grow up. They pay your paychecks. And then you wonder why you've never seen a decent tip...

Catch a Cheating Girlfriend (Personal Articles)

Mar 21st 2010 1:08PM @Wayne,

That is most certainly not the case, and if you are wasting your time with these losers who refer to themselves as "women" you are not only disrespecting yourself as well as endorsing their behavior. There are plenty of us unmarried women who are saving ourselves for our future husbands or at least extremely protective of who we have personal relations with, regardless of if it entails sex in any form or any type of sexual behavior.

Call me a prude, but I'm sure as hell not going to risk my life, future, or reputation to "f*** everything that walks" and the girls that actually do have even the slightest amount of decency, well we don't appreciate the ignorant accusations.

Guys please realize that it takes two to cheat or even have sex. For every woman thats sleeping around, there is a man who is as well. If it pisses you off, maybe you should suggest people (men and women alike) to quit giving the "sluts" attention so that the behavior stops.

I Quit My Sorority Because They Accused Me of Being Anorexic (Lemondrop)

Mar 19th 2010 10:33AM Honestly, all girls are like that to some degree. Sororities at my school are the running jokes though. As petty as they seem to be, who would actually want to deal with that?

I'm sorry that you were criticized about your weight though. I know what its like on both ends, unfortunately (heavier and now thin). Its a lose-lose.

Girls need to respect each other, regardless of whether or not they are in a sorority. Its the lack of respect for others and themselves that puts them in the negative light that they so rightly deserve.
