Jun 21st 2010 9:33AM Running tap water to get the dishwater temperature hot right away is a wate. That big old metal bar that's at the bottom of the tub is a heater. Most machines actually don't start the wash cycle until the water has been heated by this heater bar. The washer really runs rinse until the water is hot. Check your manual.

Dear Dan,
If the menu prices go up then the tip increases is complete stupidity. As prices increase the demand for goods decrease. The restaurant may actually have the same income with a lower cost of food (supply and demand curve equilibrium) but the number of meals/customers decreases, thus gaing the server no increase, maybe even lower total tips.
