David Stern 'Troubled' by Healthy Players Sitting but Not Likely to Police Teams (Fanhouse NBA Blog)
Apr 15th 2010 1:01AM It sounds like LeBron James, as well as other players, need to band together and form a new league.
It is time for David Stern to be replaced
-which we all know will not happen voluntarily.
It would be a shame for David Stern to befall upon an accident,
but as David would tell you-it's just business.
"Real 3D" vs. "Fake 3D": Should Studios Advertise the Distinction? (Cinematical)
Apr 8th 2010 1:31AM I guarantee you:
-if the studios do not decide, the courts will.
Without any kind of 'labeling' there will be one overpaid, highly
upset attorney who will walk this issue through the courts
(*cough* California *cough*) and maybe even get an endorsement of
an ex-governator to have these films stamped with some moniker
to warn movie goers their senses might be violated by viewing a
film that is Fake 3D....or whatever.
I'm just biding my time a few more months, when the 3D Conversion Kit-Deluxe Home version comes out-and I can start downloading once again.
Jerry Glanville: I Traded Favre to Help Sober Him Up (Fanhouse NFL Blog)
Mar 20th 2010 1:54PM Mr. Alper sure is full of 'except' and 'Maybe' and the ever popular 'It seems just as possible'-for such a few paragraphs that in 2010 constitutes an article .
I believe Mr. Alper is under the impression that some news flash on CNN or MSNBC in the future will reveal that Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny actually do exist.
Jerry Glanville has told a story of his experience with Brett Farve, with part of the story involving alcohol. In all of the interviews Jerry Glanville has given regarding this subject, the story has never wobbled or changed and he stresses upon the subject of the effects of alcohol-intentionally.
Mr. Alper, do some research on Jerry Glanville and the effect of alcohol upon someone at an early age, and that is when I hope you will understand the significance of what Jerry Glanville is saying.
I can speak for a fact, based upon experience and knowledge, that had Brett Farve not been placed into a controlled environment(such as Green Bay) he would not have achieved the success he has earned today.
Discuss: Do You Like the "Ten Best Picture Nominees" Idea? (Cinematical)
Feb 6th 2010 2:07AM The difficulty I have with 10 is that the value of each nomination diminishes as each additional film gets crammed into a category. The HUGE problem I have is with the 10 film voting system-it is a rating system that values quantity over quality.
It is bad enough that approximately 85% of cinema is total garbage, but with the 'new' 10 film system, I doubt I could respect any of the winners as award worthy.
A 'Bourne' Trilogy Box Set Goes to Our Best Marketing Wizard Commenters (Asylum)
Jan 15th 2010 8:34PM Universal Pictures invites you to enjoy a wacky new adventure. In the beginning we were with him as he lost his Identity, then years later we experienced his Supremacy followed quickly by his Ultimatum that the third would be his last.
In the Summer of 2011, Matt Damon is Going Bourne. After 9 years of becoming lost, being found, killing a few folk and then doing it all over again Jason Bourne has finally decided to give up Medusa, move to Alaska and run for Governor.
'Hey, from my backyard I can see the President of Russia-that I just took down with my sniper rifle. Ha Ha Ha!'
From the award winning writing team of Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer comes another exciting and hilarious new escapade as Jason Bourne takes on Washington D.C.
'Mr. Bourne, of all the political figures you have assassinated over the years, which one is your favorite?'
'All of them.'

What Hangover Cure is Most Effective? (Asylum)
Jan 1st 2010 2:31PM When it comes to drinking the alcohol demon, I follow one rule:
'Drink The Water'
For every shot, mixed drink, beer and bottle I consume-it is always accompanied by a glass of water.
Of course, every conversation I have is always interrupted with 'Hang on, I gotta pee.'-but, in the morning I'm ready to go play racquetball or shovel snow while others are suffering from the feeling of a steel pipe constantly slammed on their skull.
FreeAllMusic Promises New Tunes 'Bought' By Watching Ads (Switched)
Dec 31st 2009 3:09PM I am one of the Betas using Free All Music. Music is distributed using the Amplified.com system and that is the biggest drawback to using Free All Music-because searching for music really, really, REALLY creates a vacuum. Not every song from every artist in Amplified's arsenal is available through Free All Music, which is another smaller bummer to overcome.
If you know which music you're looking for, and you can find it, downloading your songs is very simple-click a download button, watch an Ad, click a download link, save to a device. For the ambidextrous folk, an exercise is patience will be necessary because you can only have one download active at any time.
The Free All Music system distributes 5 new download credits each Tuesday, and although a program to earn more credits by watching more Ads would be really cool(and profitable), it's free and better than nothing at all.
Once the Free All Music system opens to everyone, I would recommend based upon the current 5 credit limit, to use Free All Music to search for hard to find songs.
