Ark Encounter Theme Park Announced (AOL Hot Searches)
Dec 3rd 2010 8:08AM I think your missing the point, this isnt about them not wanting a christian themed park opened, its about using millions of peoples tax dollars and tax breaks to open it, in case you forgot im sure not everyone in the state is christian, so why should all of their tax dollars be used to open a theme park they will never go to, yet have to pay hundreds of dollars for. The ACLU was just pointing out the fact that you want to use public tax dollars to fund a private project yet your not willing to put those same tax dollars into upping the education system for children to get a proper education, but its all good to give millions for a theme park. Sorry but i think the state priority there is a little bit backwards, if this group wants funding maybe they should look for private donations instead of trying to take tax dollars from state programs that actually benefit the majority of the state. Its all good and well that this park would create jobs, but that doesnt mean public dollars should be used to build it, by using their tax dollars they are declaring that every tax paying citizen is christian and supports the project because their money is being used to build it so it must be... Isnt that right up there with forcing them to convert? I mean they still might not attend but by forcing them to pay for it, your making a public statement that they endorse this project, whether they do or not. Its not freedom of religion if you have to financially support a project that deems ones entity more worthy of entitlement and exposure.Im sure plenty of people would attend the park but its not right to force people who might be of other religions to pay for a park that is designed for a specific religion.
Tips for Facing Infertility During the Holidays (ParentDish)
Dec 2nd 2010 2:49PM the daughter of my moms best friend went through this a few years back, going through tons of treatments because her eggs werent fertile, eventually through treatments both her and her sister have had children, their mother had 2 sets of twins, my mom and i had long discussions about it, and at the time i very much wanted a child of my own, so my mom was taken back when i said that if the current treatments failed that if she wanted i would gladly donate eggs or carry a child through my own eggs for her, funny thing is you'd be suprised just how many friends or family members would be willing to do such things to help those they love have the family they want, so if adopting isnt something you think you could do and treatments dont succeed, i'd consider asking those closest to you if they would help, i think you would be suprised to see how many say yes

Sadie Frost angry with Sienna Miller over daughter's haircut (Stylelist UK)
Jun 21st 2010 7:01AM come on guys get real, its nto like a piercing or a tattoo its a haircut, one that she probably asked her dad if she can get done and probably asked Siennna to take her, moms just pissed her daughter wanted to go with dads girlfriend instead of her, and to be a harpy about it she took to twitter to rant like a 12 year old. I could see if the child hated it or something or if it was totally out of charcter and wild for the child but its not , no highlight, no razor cuts, its a bob. Give me a break she just wants a reason to complain.
Win an exclusive Wizarding World of Harry Potter magic wand! (Gadling)
Jun 19th 2010 5:39AM I couldnt be more excited that The wizarding World is finally opening, living in Florida and being a to die for fan, ive waited years for this park to open, it was first announced a few years back and every couple of months I'd get an update on the park and start my countdowns, then it would be pushed back a little more and i'd again wait and start my countdown so im completely psyched that its finally happening, only i now have a newborn son and will have to wait a little longer cause the dr says he cant be in the summer heat more then an hour or so :( but that ok i'll make him the youngest harry potter fan until then. Cant wait to walk those streets in Hogsmeade, like a kid in a candy store, or a wizard in Honeydukes!
I Gave My Baby the Wrong Name! (ParentDish)
Jun 7th 2010 9:01AM You know all of you who say dont give your child a unique name people wont understand. well sometimes theres a story behind that name. My son was born in march and so far no one has ever heard of the name he has, i expected as much, his name is Deucalion (Duh-Kail-ian) and most people tell me its really pretty but then they wonder where it came from, its actually from an ancient greek myth about repopulation the earth after their great flood, People might think its weird but I think he will love it and the special story that goes behind it, but the way i see it just becaus someone hasnt heard his name before doesnt mean it doesnt exist, its just alot older then they would have expected and oddly enough his name fits him very well.
Luxury Gifts Ideas & Cheap Alternatives (Shopping Articles Blog)
Feb 2nd 2010 11:45PM This year i think the perfect Valentines gift for me would be a "real" wedding band. Since getting pregnant in June we rushed getting married so that the baby and i had insurance, and ended up getting a cheap band that would fit my swollen finger, unfortunately my skin seemed to be allergic to it, breaking out in hive like bumps and tunring green so from a week after getting married i wasnt able to wear it, and since the baby is due in march, the one thing i would really like is a ring i can actually wear and show off that im a proud new wife and mommy, since right now everyone sees the bump and no ring,so they look at me funny and talk under their breath.
