Anderson Cooper Blasts New Vince Vaughn Trailer (PopEater)
Oct 8th 2010 4:56PM What is the big deal!!! I remember when "gay" meant "happy!" Homosexuals do not have the monopoly on the word gay! Does this mean we will be changing all our Christmas Caroles?
Which Lightbulbs Save the Most Money? -- Savings Experiment (WalletPop)
May 13th 2010 11:41AM CFL lights are not God's gift to the environment. I am "allergic" to flourescent lighting. Before you all jump on me being a loon it is true, I suffer from a seizure disorder that fluorescent lights trigger because of the slight flicker it emits. It also affects my motion sickness for the same thing. So the CFL is not good for everyone, I will keep my regular lightsbulbs for my health sake and wait for the LED's to come out hoping they don't have the same principles as CFL's.
Brazilian Keratin Hair Treatment: The Pros (and Pitfalls) (Stylelist (Main))
May 1st 2010 9:09AM Many of us don't understand yet we comment. This woman does not have a problem with her "curly" hair she has a problem with "frizzy" hair. My daughter loves her hair 3 seasons of the year but come humidity (summer) time and she HATES it. The humidity frizzes the hair to the point of looking like "Roseanne Rosanna Danna" from SNL, it just poofs out and nothing can be done. If you like poofed out hair then by all means go for it...
Next time before you criticize someone's choices wait for the reason it may be a good one.
The 25-Year-Old Girl Who Live-Blogged Her Death (Lemondrop)
Apr 30th 2010 11:51AM This brought me back to 1996 when my oldest daughter died from Cystic Fibrosis at age 12. She LOVED to sing and made recordings of her own songs. I would bet my own life if she was alive today still fighting this disease she too would video journal her life.
My heartfelt prayers & thoughts go out to this grieving family. I hope they continue to celebrate the life of this woman as I continue to celebrate my daughters life. Children/people with CF are remarkable and continue to fight the fight to breathe and just be normal.
Will Skechers Shape-ups Walk the Talk? (Shopping Articles Blog)
Apr 29th 2010 1:01PM I LOVE my Avi-toners too! They aren't as "moon" shoe looking as Skecher's and you can get them for less money too. Avi-toners go on sale at most stores where as the other's (Reebok & Skecher's) don't. I don't wear them when I work out but I wear them when I go shopping or when I know I'll be walking a bit. It keeps your posture in line and just makes you feel better.
Examining Pink's High Flying Trapeze Act (PopEater)
Feb 3rd 2010 12:13AM Taylor Swift gets on my nerves. Her albums are "pop"ular but she has a difficult time singing live. It always sounds as if she is off key or out of breath. Kanye West was the best thing that happened to her and for that I truly dislike him. She has talent but at 18 the world does not revolve around her. Beyonce performed well and I laughed when the part in her hair never moved, gotta love the wig. LOVED Bon Jovi and Nettles. Gaga and Elton were fabulous and it really showcased her vocals. Green Day performing with the stage performers of American Idiot were also wonderful (Love Green Day in anything they do). I even enjoyed the Michael Jackson tribute. The act that totally blew me away and the concert that blew me away was and is PINK. She is amazing and I was glad to see her trapeze act. When I saw her in concert for the FunHouse tour she was recovering from a separated shoulder so she scaled down the trapeze act. It was fantastic and a Grammy worthy performance. I wish she received the Grammy but considering who she was up against it was a slim chance although I held out hope after seeing Green Day win over U2. The Grammy awards always surprise me but this years was by far the best in entertainment.
All Eyes on Conan: Should He Stay or Should He Go? (PopEater)
Jan 11th 2010 11:41AM I was a faithful Tonight Show viewer since the very late 70's and was concerned when they gave the slot to Conan. The young people have David Letterman and the older/mature crowd had the Tonight Show and now we (the older crowd) have nothing but Nightline & Jimmy Kimmel. Jack Paar & Johnny Carson made the Tonight Show with the monologue, humor & great interviews. Johnny Carson hand picked Jay Leno over David Letterman because he knew what the Tonight Show audience was. NBC blew it when they went by way of trying to eat into Letterman's audience or bringing Conan's audience with him. What they didn't understand was Conan's audience was not Jay's audience it was Dave's audience that switched at 12:35 instead of watching Ferguson. Bring back the "old" Tonight Show and woo that faithful audience. Oh and I love Jimmy Fallon...
Should Conan O'Brien Leave Sinking Ship NBC? (Inside TV Blog)
Nov 28th 2009 8:26PM I vowed to never watch the Tonight Show again if they put Conan in as host and I haven't. I agree with you. The Tonight Show isn't about juvenile humor it has a more mature audience. Johnny Carson did skits but through his skits it was adult humor not juvenile. He must be rolling over in his grave for this destruction. Bring Leno back to The Tonight Show PLEASE!
Who's Your Favorite on 'Dancing With the Stars'? (Inside TV Blog)
Nov 20th 2009 3:24AM I totally agree with you Judy. I have loved watching Kelly from the very beginning and am glad she is in the finale. What I love about watching her is she dances and doesn't do all the acrobatic stuff and she is having fun. She also takes the criticism and works on it and it shows. Way to go!!!!
Who's Your Favorite on 'Dancing With the Stars'? (Inside TV Blog)
Nov 20th 2009 3:21AM I am glad Joanna is gone. I have been rooting for Kelly since the beginning. She reminds me of my daughter, young with no idea how to dance. I love watching her week after week. She doesn't have all the acrobatics she dances. I was hoping the finale had her and Donny in it because it will be entertaining which is what this show is supposed to be. Derek drives me crazy and thinks he is better than the rest just like Maksim & Cheryl. I hope she does well in the finale. Go Kelly!!!!!!!
