US Uncut group to target Apple with protests on June 4 (TUAW.com)

May 27th 2011 2:42PM scott_greenstone, The way I read from Wired magazine, US looks at the tax paid to the foreign government and if they paid enough tax, they will not have to pay tax to US government.

Report: LA police officers who alleged ticket quota system win $2M judgment (Autoblog)

Apr 12th 2011 3:15PM That'll never happen. Once people know that every single violation will be caught, no one will drive over the speed limit. Feb 28th 2011 11:40PM That's what the standard Prius already does when it's in Eco mode. Eco mode is more efficient than EV mode.
However, there are certain scenarios where only human can figure out that EV mode is preferable to Eco mode. (for example, car is inside and they don't want to produce emission.)

Rumormill: Next Bugatti Veyron to hit 270 mph (Autoblog)

Jan 12th 2011 2:03PM Toyota Prius was probably the hardest "vehicle" to engineer. To make two different kinds of motors work in synergy and make it feel like a normal, underpowered Corolla, while producing ~150hp when necessary and returning 50mpg in regular driving condition, it takes a boat load of genius engineers to do that.

IIHS Obvious Conclusion of the Day: Mismatched bumpers cost thousands in repairs (Autoblog)

Dec 2nd 2010 12:21PM The problem here was that even at very low speed, mismatched bumper caused big damage.
