Apr 27th 2009 11:38AM Wow, this is actually really sexy! 1.3lbs, fantastic res, more than enough power, great form factor... The price is a tad high - I'd love to see it at a couple hundred cheaper than the current $1000 base price, and I wonder if the battery life will even come close to the rated 7-11 hrs...
Panasonic's AG-HMC40 does 1080p24 on something of a budget (Engadget)

Apr 20th 2009 11:37AM I think the more important idea that I'm getting at is that at this end of the scale, the resolution and frame rate has no relevance, and you should be focusing on the quality of sensors and lenses used. There is no indication as to the quality of the lens here, but on the PMW-EX1, they use a top-notch Fujinon Professional lens...

Apr 20th 2009 11:31AM meh, I'm gonna have to completely disagree. If you are serious about your videos, which I imagine anyone interested in this camera would be, the PMW series by Sony is the obvious choice. The PMW-EX1 has been around for quite some time now and is currently available for just over $5000. The massive 3.5" CMOS chip on that baby will shoot higher quality picture with richer color than this relative POS will ever shoot.
Another Zune HD render surfaces, fanboy specs too? (Engadget)
Apr 15th 2009 7:29AM /me pukes
Anyways, back to the story - the original render looks totally legit, but these specs are fishy and it honestly just seems like same fanboi took the original render and ran with it. The back looks way too iPhone-esque and the specs seem to high-end for microsoft - who knows to costs low and margins high.
That being said... zomg! this thing looks really nice. Such high resolution, OLED, and most importantly... not an iPod! I swear, if I see one more person walking through nyc with an iPhone or iPod touch...
