Hero Animals of WWII Celebrated in New Orleans (Pawnation OLD)

Aug 29th 2010 1:12AM All of mankind has so much to be thankful for in our creature companions. It is not widely known how they worked side by side to help us in the fight for freedom. Thanks to the museum for adding them to the honored who served. They enrich us in ways I'm sure we still do not understand. And thanks Brandy for adding your great story!

The Doggie Diaries - Peeved at the Pet Superstore (Pawnation OLD)

Aug 17th 2010 1:50AM I buy my pet treats and products from a local specialty store. Our locals stock US made products as much as they can (though they complain those are very hard to find) and higher end (people grade) organic dog goodies and supplements. They also support local no-kill animal sanctuaries and I like to assist with that. As for my boys' daily food --I cook for them now--too worrisome as to what is in the prepared dog food products.

Kristen Stewart: "I'm a Crazy Cat Lady" (Pawnation OLD)

Jun 17th 2010 1:24PM Good for you Kristen. Nothing like a cozy kitty for peaceful companionship in a wild, wild world. People who have never loved a four-legged friend leave a piece of their soul unawakened.

Rough Cuts: Give Doris Day an Oscar, Already (Moviefone Blog)

Cocker Spaniel 101 (Pawnation OLD)

Apr 23rd 2010 2:26PM My cocker/chow mix has a beautiful silky black overcoat. He gets rave reviews everywhere we go, not just for his handsome coat, but for his polite manners and quick attention to my requests of him. His intelligence is obvious, his devotion undeniable. He loves to go on long walks and swims and loves to flush birds and rabbits from their hiding places. He outdoes the cat at mouse control! His hair coat needs daily attention when we've been in the field, but he has been healthy and active and still is at 16. I know much focus is on the purebred animal, but this dog is a treasure not to be denied.
