Jul 16th 2008 6:26PM I agree. The circular logic used by both the Engineers and the Protagonist is pretty easily handled by an entry level philosophy class. Which I took. While studying as an engineer. The answer is, of course, that there is no answer and it boils down to a long held dilemma. The presentation of the anti-IPU view as infallible, and the Engineers as haughty and grossly out of touch, is a disservice to any significant discussion of the matter.
And since I believe a little bit of column A and column B I am once again relegated to the following: personal faith for your explanation of the original spark of life, lest you run into an ever expanding stack of Elephants the world rests on.
