Free Whopper...if you don't mind getting rid of some friends (WalletPop)

Jan 12th 2009 7:14PM Real pedophiles hang out by the ball pit at fast food joints and talk smack on-line about the ones who rely on social websites for their kicks...your perseverance (and perversions) will pay off dearly!

Ben & Jerry's Renames Butter Pecan, 'Yes Pecan' (Slashfood)

Jan 10th 2009 9:30AM Ben & Jerry are two hippies who have flavors named after jam-band musicians (Jerry Garcia, Dave Matthews Band, and Phish), a mock-conservative talk show host (Stephen Colbert), and the most notorious pot-smoking country artist alive (Willie Nelson), and you people are just now figuring out they're "leaning left"? Stick to your conservative Blue Bell, right-wingers, that is Bush 41's favorite anyways...

12 Worst Christmas Songs: No. 4 (Spinner)

Nov 30th 2008 6:57AM There wouldn't be an Easter either if not for the Jews...haha

TiVo and Domino's Pizza team up to encourage sloth, obesity (BloggingStocks)

Nov 19th 2008 8:01AM Domino's and Tivo are two products I don't use already, so while this is a cool idea this new service doesn't affect me in the least. However, I am a Comcast digital cable subscriber, so hopefully if they decide to try out something like this they'll sign on with a restaurant that delivers palatable food.

And about tipping pizza delivery guys: sure, they use their own vehicle, but they make more than minimum wage and they should already get a certain amount extra for gas; if not, they can claim the mileage on their taxes and get credited for it with their income tax return. And delivering a pizza is not an on-going service: they're expected to drop it off and leave, as opposed to a restaurant server who not only brings you your food, they also take your order, refill your drinks, clear off your table, and otherwise contribute to a pleasant dining experience. I'll gladly leave a server 15-20% or even more, but a pizza guy will be lucky to leave my house with $2 more than when he arrived...sorry for the diversion from the topic...

Allegedly Pantsless Rider Escorted from Train (Asylum)

Oct 29th 2008 4:21PM What a bunch of prudes! Even if she wasn't wearing pants, she was still covered by her jacket! Is the potential for indecent exposure really so threatening to people that they must call the authorities? And you talk about protecting the children, what exactly would they be protected from? If you're a parent, then YOU should be protecting them, not expecting the rest of the world to pick up your slack...

...and I'm betting this woman with the short skirt wasn't at all scary or suspicious-looking, I see women all the time wearing jackets longer than whatever skirt they're wearing and I don't give it a second thought, but when you see a man with a coat on and his legs underneath aren't covered by any clothing, that's when you walk the opposite direction and pull your kids in closer...

Pernod Absinthe Returns After 93 Years (Luxist)

Oct 26th 2008 8:34AM Not true, absinthe has been made legal again this past year for sale and manufacture in the United States. I saw three different brands for sale at one liquor store, and a local bar had a night celebrating its return. I'm sure if the stuff was still illegal, there would not be such public displays of absinthe.

World's Geekiest Tattoos (Switched)

Sep 8th 2008 7:16PM If the writer of this article thinks this is the world's worst tattoo, he has obviously not seen many tattoos: not only is this one (and it's owner's brother's corresponding inkwork) very creative, it's craftsmanship is certainly better than the crappy Taz I got when I was 18...

Stores won't sell alcohol to parents with kids in tow (ParentDish)

May 19th 2008 9:38AM Aside from the absurdity of this law, the most shocking part of this story is the guy actually buying Budweiser in the U.K.! Why would a European willingly buy our mass-produced excuse for a beer? Bass Ale, Smithwick's, and Boddington's are far superior to any Anheuser-Busch product, and that's just from what's made in the U.K...this is one of very few instances where I would say to NOT buy American, unless it's a microbrew...

Shockingly Cocky Quotes: No. 6 (Spinner)

Mar 7th 2008 8:12PM P. Shiddy is to good music as Bill Gates is to innovative computer applications: they both know how to exploit some else's talent for their own profit...

Starbucks nationwide to close for emergency re-training Feb. 26 (BloggingStocks)

Feb 14th 2008 8:28AM What can be accomplished in three hours that the employees have spent entire careers destroying? A few training videos and a fast-talking corporate rep isn't going to magically fix anything...none of this will affect me in the least, since I don't drink coffee in the first place, but bad habits and poor workmanship cannot be undone in half of a shift.
