Sentiment toward dollar turning bullish, survey reveals {BloggingStocks}
May 15th 2008 7:10PM Do you think that you may be a tad overly-pessimistic? I see a lot of activity where I live and there's lots of people enjoying life. Turn away (180 degrees) from the old ways, which are going away, and embrace the changes, going on. I don't say that lightly, because I lost my job, several years ago and I am still getting over that crushing experience. Go where there is life and do what you can... It may not be what you thought was neat in the eighties, or nineties, but it can be even better, when you start to change... Again, I lost my mind, literally, after losing my job, so I don't say this lightly to anyone. I will never be a Communications Project Specialist, again... Thank God! The change that everyone is talking about has nothing to do with politics (false hopes)... It has to do with an individual's heart and mind. Where there is life, there is hope! Ask God to help you change and He surely will bless you. Don't wait for someone else to change, or the rulers to change, or even the weather to change, because life is too short to be living it by proxy.
George Soros's dark vision {BloggingStocks}
May 13th 2008 6:53PM At the risk of being tried for heresy, by my own party (R), I believe that it's time for an American Renaissance. By that, I mean that it is high time for us to begin the job of improving America's infrastructure. Roads, bridges, sewers, the grid, everything. Defense spending is eating us alive. If we do not begin to train workers, encourage projects and get over our fears of Mexican invasion, Al Quida, asteroids, steroids and other divisive distractions, we are going to rot from within. Workers make America work and if we aren't willing to do the work, then we'd better start offering incentives to those who are able and willing to do so. Twenty years ago, when I first visited Detroit, it looked like a mess. Productive work is what inspires minds, builds bodies, feeds families and generates real wealth. Unless you plan to move abroad, then you have a vested interest in improving our country. The only other solution is to expand the military and start conquering other lands. Admittedly, I may be exaggerating, but twenty years have passed and I've heard that Detroit is still like a third-world country. We can save the world, after we save ourselves. It will still be there and who knows, maybe it will do better without all of our assistance.
Will conservative investor Barack Obama be a fiscal conservative president? {BloggingStocks}
May 13th 2008 3:23AM A bond-holder! Yikes! In one sense, a Conservative, but in another, not much of a capitalist... I'd like to see him become a bit more diversified, if he's going to be our next President.

May 12th 2008 8:52AM I don't buy it... Aren't cadevars "stiff," from riga mortis?
Having worked at GM (EDS) for nine years, I heard every rumor which man could devise, but never heard this one... There was some concern over using live animals, years ago, but I never saw any evidence of this, either. I can't remember the name of the crash dummie, but he said that he and his friends were unionized and that, if they knew of anything like this going on, you'd see a lot of dummies going out on strike.
Cell Phones Affect Brain Waves (But Not That Much) {Switched.com}
May 12th 2008 7:34AM I think that the inattention, accidents and obsessive use associated with cellphones is merely behavioral and does not represent any form of brain damage... Case in point, most cell-phone users return to normal, within minutes of having their phone removed. The only exception to this, is habitual users, who exhibited higher levels of anxiety and feelings of helplessness. I do not know of any cases, where actual tumors resulted from the use of these devices.
Man Claims Drugged Up O.J. Confessed to Murder {TMZ}
May 10th 2008 11:48PM "I believe in some cases one [marijuana] cigarette might develop a homicidal mania." --- Harry J. Anslinger, first commissioner of the Federal Bureau of Narcotics, in 1937 testimony to congress in support of the Marijuana Tax act.
Man Claims Drugged Up O.J. Confessed to Murder {TMZ}
May 10th 2008 4:36PM I don't believe that O.J. would smoke marijuana... Maybe, the other things are true, to some degree, but O.J. would never smoke that stuff!

Rush Limbaugh Flips to Obama {Political Machine Blog}
May 9th 2008 12:32AM I am a Conservative Republican, who is ashamed of Rush... Operation Chaos was what hit me in my heart. What he is urging people to do is wrong and he would be irate, if the Democrats did the same.
One thing, that the Democrats can take heart in, is this... The reason that Rush is acting like this, is that he realizes, that while he may be intellectually correct about most things that he says, he realizes that the spirit of America will lead us into the future and it is driving him insane. Right and smart doesn't always win and it should not! When God decides to diplace a leader, a party, or a talk show host, he does just that... Snap! I feel sorry for Rush, because life is much too short to become so desperate, so filled with hate and mean-spiritedness. It is my belief that our country is ready for the pendulum to reverse. If that didn't happen, we would drive this country, right off of the road.
A former Rush Listener (who cannot handle all of the anger in that man's voice, even if he's correct about a lot of things which he says.)
Hot Seat: Did Rush Tilt Indiana? {Political Machine Blog}
May 8th 2008 5:03PM I have to admit, "Operation Chaos" seemed funny to me, at first... I am a Conservative Republican, however, as the operation proceeded, I felt less and less confortable about it. If the Democrats pulled somrthing like this, to disrupt our primary process, I'd feel very put out, about it. The primary is an important step in the process of electing our next President and this kind of prank has no place, here. Limbaugh got carried away and hurt the process. Both Democrats and Republicans have reason to be very saddened, by this. I am.
