Michael Vick Named AP's NFL Comeback Player of the Year (Fanhouse NFL Blog)

Feb 6th 2011 10:01PM What a blooming mockery! Everything, every parent attemps to instill in our children is wiped away with one swoop of Vick! It's okay honey you can be a serial killer of dogs, you will get rewarded. It's alright you don't have to play by the rules cause you will get rewarded. It's alright if you commit crime after crime cause the guys with the BIG bucks don't care about morals or values just that buck, so they will reward you. What kind of a nation have we turned into? We reward those who should have had to suffer the same torture as those he inflicted it on. The reason our Higher Power gave us bigger brains than the animals was so we would use them. Guess The HP was wrong, give me a dog and I know I have a lifelong friend!

Michael Vick's Injury Classified as Damaged Rib Cartilage, Status Unknown (Fanhouse NFL Blog)

Oct 5th 2010 12:04AM Damn I was hoping it was electrocution, or a bullet tot he head. Well if he is still walking and talking, then he wasn't slammed hard enough. This world has enough deviates in it we don't need our children looking up to them as heroes!

'Returnaholics' cost retailers billions of dollars a year (WalletPop)

May 25th 2010 1:35PM Not at all I too would return the original. It would be irresponsible in this day and age not to.

'Returnaholics' cost retailers billions of dollars a year (WalletPop)

May 25th 2010 9:53AM I am going to have to agree with Roger here. WalMart is the BIGGEST offender when it comes to outsourced products. They are also the biggest retailer worldwide these days. The point is that if we want to have quality back in the stores we need to not shop at places for the price only. WalMart is a dirty word in this house. We shop at Kmart (low-quality, also) they have better customer service and if they don't have something you are looking for, they will find it in their other stores and have it brought to the local store. Target is another store I shop at for general merchandise. I NEVER shop Walmart for food any longer, only my local stores or mini-chains in the area. I also shop online a lot. If you know what product you are seraching for, just type in for example, American-made biker boots (just had to find a pair) and a list of companies that fit the bill will come up. Be prepared to pay more, but KNOW you are getting a better product for that money. It is true you get what you pay for and nothing is cheap anymore. Just wages.

Sarah Palin: Levi Welcome at Thanksgiving Table; Johnston Declines (ParentDish)

Nov 15th 2009 8:30AM I am not one to have poltical "sides". Meaning I do not side with a certain party. Being a female I was interested in Palin, in the beginning. It was a very short period of time that convinced me that my vote would need to go to the Obama side of the fence. I am pleased that a bi-racial young man is in office. I like him. I do find him to be inexperienced but trying. I also believe that no matter who took office wouldhave one huge mess on thier hands after Dubya left. That said, Palin ruined Mc Cains chances at office. She is not well-spoken. She is not well-read and she definately would not be whom I would like to see sitting in the oval office. She attempted to hide her less than perfect son, and her daughter's pregnancy. When neither could be hidden any longer they were thrust into the forefront. One kicking and screaming and the other not aware that he was being used by the one person who was supposd to pretect him with her life. She needs t stay in Alaska and look for those Russians, but please someone take her guns away!

What Not to Wear to a Job Interview (AOL Jobs)

Oct 20th 2009 12:22PM I think it all depends on the type of position you are applying for. When I was applying for office manager, of a cab service, they would have thought it quite uppity of me if I had shown up in my skirtsuit and made up. When I applied for the position of Executive Assistant I indeed wore a skirtsuit, makeup and pantyhose to boot. I live in SE Louisiana.
Some positions do not require such fashion statements as others, and the manner inwhich you dress should reflect the position.

Six Flags is bankrupt, but the rides go on (Daily Finance)

Jun 15th 2009 2:46PM New Orleans had a park named Jazzland that was in trouble. Six Flags bought it out in 2003. Booming because we all expected it to be like Jazzland...not. Katrina brought about terrible damage to the park. Six Flags to this day has done nothing. Not cleared out stock, torn down rides...nothing. It is a constant reminder of the devastation. Joe Blow homeowner had a set amount of time to repair, so what is up with this? I went once after SF took it over never to go again. It is too bad. Jazzland was a fun, family place to go.

8 Weird GPS Devices (Switched)

Jun 2nd 2009 3:04PM I was just thinking that thoses shoes IF they were in children's and yung adult styles would be fantastic! If you had a youngster that was on the brink of being allowed to venture on their own, or a toddler at a public place. You could find them without hysterics if you could track them.

New state laws that affect travelers in 2009 (Gadling)

Jan 6th 2009 10:32AM You may very well be right but...when I was having my children. so many years ago it was believed that smoking reduced birth weight. Now tell the very first time pregnant woman that her child is goign to weigh in at over 12 pounds and to quit smoking in the same breathe. I am a smoker have quit for years and the first time something traumatic happens (like Katrina) pick it up without ever even realize you are doing such. As a smoker, I do repect your rights. If smoking is bothersome to you, I will not smoke around you. If you think your rights are more important than my rights, then so be it also. Just remember that I have never met a smoker that didn't want to quit, and if every smoker did quit, you better get your checkbook ready, because then you will all but see the total collaspe of the government financially. A pack of cigarettes cost about 35 cents to make the rest a taxes. Some place a pack of cigarettes are as high as 12 bucks. So keep complaining but keep those checks a rolling the government will thank you for your complaints and contributions.

Cash-strapped families can't afford to keep their pets (WalletPop)

Dec 24th 2008 12:19AM Where do I begin? Annabelle, the decisions we make for our 4 legged family has to be in their best interest. You made the correct decision for Buster. Extending his life is not making him well. Why should he be made to suffer? You did right and don't let finances tell you toherwise. If it were as simple as a spay I would ripping you a new one.

Matt get a life! If you had a disease that was slowly, and painfully killing you and you had the option to put yourself out of your misery believe me you would, I watched as my grandfather wasted away from bone cancer and BEGGED for one of us to end it for him. So either get off the high horse or ride it off somewhere will ya?

I have 2 in the house here and both are on medication for a variety of things. Kody who is a mere 7 has blown hips. He doesn't seem to know that as of yet though as he has a morning or two where it is difficult to get up but once he does he is off and running. Kody pounces like a cat and now that *I* know what is up with him I just hold my breathe when he does. He is a Shep/Rott/Chow/Hound mix and weighs about 80# now. Petrie is an APBT and because of her babyhood abuse is nuts. I don't mean in a vicious way, just very skiddish, and super senitive to noises and movements. She is medicated too because we tried holistic first and NOTHING worked for her. When the time come I will know because they will let me know. Life is wonderful, and it should be enjoyed to the fullest. When that ceases to be the case, it will be time. I applaud you for your work, and rescue, and knowing the pup well enough to know it was time.

Now about the article what a crock!!!! There are organizations, and financing, etc...boards I frequent even take up collections to fund a pups care so there are options other than dumping your family memeber.
