FEMA Drowns Millions of Homeowners in Flood Insurance Premiums (Housingwatch)

Jan 15th 2010 5:11PM Hay Steve P,

Thanks for the info good stuff. Wells Fargo Bank however said that even though I only owed a small amount on my mortgage I was still required by Wells Fargo to have the $250K of coverage.

FEMA Drowns Millions of Homeowners in Flood Insurance Premiums (Housingwatch)

Jan 15th 2010 5:03PM All good comments on FEMA requirement for Flood Insurance. I will try David's suggestion on getting an exclusion. Years ago I had flood insurance and had a basement full of water from a hurricane and guess what FEMA gave me nothing on my claim. They said that the house would have to wash away for me to collect anything.

Just another hidden tax.

FEMA Drowns Millions of Homeowners in Flood Insurance Premiums (Housingwatch)

Jan 13th 2010 9:59PM FEMA and Wells Fargo should be ashamed of themselves. I never had a flood and I am being forced by the bank to secure a flood policy which will cost me almost $2,000 so the rich kids who live on the beach can be subsidized by everyone else. Screw FEMA and the bank I will pay off my mortgage and cancel the flood policy.

What's the Best iMac for Basic Creative Tasks? (Switched)

Nov 10th 2009 3:20PM After retiring I bought an Apple MacBook Pro to see what all the hype was about. It is a big, no Gigantic disappointment after using the Microsoft platform for the past 15 years. Word, Excel and PowerPoint even when upgraded to the Microsoft format in Mac operates completely different and is a mess. There is absolutely no comparison!! What a let down. Wish I never made the switch.

Thanks,
JR
