How the Foreclosure Settlement Could Affect You (AOL Real Estate)

Feb 10th 2012 11:55AM OK, Citi Residential lending totally bungled the short sale on my home in 2009, and it went to foreclosure. How do I find out if I'm included in this settlement and how do you get forms to apply? They didn't own the loan, they were just the servicer.

Passengers sick again, cruise line cancels sailing (Gadling)

Feb 7th 2012 11:10PM The only time I got sick on a vacation was when I flew to the Dominican Republic and got food poisoning eating at the resort's restaurant. I have been on 6 cruises, and they are hands down the best vacations. Do everything or do nothing, your choice, unpack once, none of this hurry up and see everything like being on a tour. One piece of advice, go with the upper end cruise lines like NCL and Princess, avoid Carnival which is cruising for the masses with lots of kids. Yes, the USA has lots to see, one of the cruises I took was to Alaska on Princess, seven day cruise followed by 5 day land tour. It was wonderful.

Half of Prime Mortgages Could Go Upside Down (AOL Real Estate)

Oct 10th 2011 6:25PM Too late! My "prime" loan went upside down two and a half years ago!

Ricky Martin Denies Marriage Rumors & Plans to Expand Children's Aid Centers (Celestrellas)

Jun 8th 2011 6:11PM God? Sorry I've never met him/her and don't know anyone who has. As for Ricky, whatever works for his relationship is his business.

McDonald's to Bump Prices, Yet Ads Wax Fifties Nostalgic (Slashfood)

Big Hoss of 'Pawn Stars' Arrested For Bar Brawl (PopEater)

Mar 23rd 2011 10:21AM 27? He looks 37! The "Old Man" isn't going to be happy about this! (Neither will Rick) Not surprising, Big Hoss is as dumb as a box of rocks, Chumlee is just brainless.

Unemployment Dips to 8.9 Percent, 192K Jobs Added (AOL Jobs)

Mar 4th 2011 10:33AM Statistics and figures do not tell the whole picture. Still too many people who have run out of unemployment benefits, those who are underemployed, and those who retired early as they had no other choice and cannot get hired in their 50's and 60's, I know, I'm one of them!

Warren Buffett: Buy Affordable Home, Not Your Dream Home (AOL Real Estate)

Mar 3rd 2011 7:44PM I agree 100%. Part of the reason the real estate market is down is because buyers are afraid of buying a home that will be worth 10-20% less a year from now, thereby eliminating any equity they had in the house. Combine this with an uncertain job market, and the real estate market will remain down for years.

Warren Buffett: Buy Affordable Home, Not Your Dream Home (AOL Real Estate)

Mar 3rd 2011 7:39PM Easy for him to give advice, but what about the millions of Americans who are out of work and despite never living beyond their means, are now facing losing their homes? Or all the people who have seen their home equity disappear, including the original down payment?

Are Unemployment Rates Really Going Down? (AOL Jobs)

Mar 2nd 2011 5:58PM Any agency or company can report figures, but the truth is that figures can be manipulated to look any way the author wants it to. The truth is that there just aren't enough jobs for everyone who wants one, and the numbers do not count those who have run out of unemployment benefits, those who have given up looking, and those who are underemployed because they took a part time minimum wage job just to have some income. Factor in those who found themselves unemployed and retired earlier than they had planned, and you have a better picture of the unemployed in this country. The true rate is probably around fifteen percent, not nine or ten percent. A very grim situation indeed, and very discouraging for those like myself who will soon exhaust all 99 weeks of unemployment benefits.
