Should travelers boycott Arizona because of gun laws? Frommer leans towards yes (Gadling)

Aug 20th 2009 11:36PM Just to set the record straight: a total of 44 states in the USA have OPEN CARRY RIGHTS, that's right 44. This is not something new, it's just that more people are using their rights.
I love how Frommer says "what if the gun went off" LOL!! Like the gun is some uncontrollable monster that will just start firing at random at any moment! This has got to be someone who has never used a firearm in their life.
The other comment about "using the gun for "intimidation""; Come on! That's like saying you don't want anyone saying anything in public because you're afraid when people use their Freedom of Speech they might say something you don't want to hear and that's scary!
You have the right to Openly Carry a firearm in most states, you have the right to Free Speech, you can't pick and choose which ones you think people should be allowed to use based on "how it makes you feel/what could happen if..." You are basically making an assumption of guilt or wrongdoing because someone decided to exercise one of their rights. That's plain wrong.
The REAL thing people should focus on is: IN EACH CASE WHERE PEOPLE HAVE OPEN CARRIED AT RALLIES, NOTHING AT ALL HAPPENED. They are law-abiding citizens using their rights.
I live in Michigan, I Open Carry everyday, everywhere I go. No-one runs and screams, no-one is intimidated and most people don't even notice.
People, know your rights, really know them. Then don't be suprised when someone excercises them.

Do Men Prefer Average Body Types? (Lemondrop)

Jun 11th 2009 3:12PM I'll be completely honest: I would rather have a flat chested woman than one with fake boobs. I am not lying. The thought of some "bags" in my womans' chest is disturbing. No thanks.

Preview of Jon & Kate Plus 8's new season: Two minutes of crippling sadness (AOL TV)

May 22nd 2009 10:27PM The fact is: Jon should have "manned up" years ago. He didn't so she took control, plain and simple. I don't mean Jon should be dragging her around by her hair cave-man style; he should have just been the man of the house. When men are not in authority (lazy) their wives must take over and usually become a "nag" or a straight up tyrant. This is going on EVERYWHERE, we all see it all the time. They get to have the whole world look in on it, I don't envy them at all. I hope things turn out ok for them all.

Holla If This $5-Footlong Ad is a Racist Dis (Blackvoices Main)

Oct 15th 2008 3:49PM The REAL funny thing is most of the big hip hop guys talk like this all day long and they are filthy rich!! People "eat" this kind of ignorant speech up all day long. Have "Honest Abe" say it? Oh, that's racist then. If people would quit talking this way it would go away. The irony is this ad WILL sell food to those it is aimed at. If you are offended at it; it is not aimed at you. Too bad for the folks that think it's cool.

Wonder why your house is in foreclosure and your bank is in trouble? "Wall Street got drunk!" (WalletPop)

Jul 24th 2008 4:26PM The reason people are in trouble with their houses is simple: They bought overpriced houses they could not afford and thought they could sell it later with a profit. The market adjusted to the REAL value of the house and now your screwed paying for an overpriced house on top of the overpriced cars and boats you HAD TO HAVE just like your neighbors. This is keeping up with the Joneses 101. People are materialistic, this is what happens.
Having said all that, this "diasterous state" is made up of roughly 2% of the entire country maybe less. Lets all learn a lesson. If this happened under Clinton we most likely would not be talking about it much at all. I don't care for Bush myself, but give me a break. Apparently he is everyones whipping post. Lets be more responsible with our own lives.

Is Windows 'Collapsing?' (Switched)

Apr 12th 2008 12:37PM I bought a Quad Core PC last Christmas with VISTA pre-installed. It works great for e-mail and simply tasks, no problems or freeze ups. HOWEVER, if you plan to use After Effects or do ANY video editing FORGET IT!! This OS is such a huge HOG I can't begin to explain! Good luck trying to render anything in AE. And good luck finding your files too!
I just ordered XP Pro so I can downgrade and get back to work! Windows really blew it on this one.

Dec 22nd 2007 5:51PM Yeah, this song is rotten. I turn the station when it comes on.

Market Meltdown (AOL Video Blog)

Aug 13th 2007 9:46PM The MAIN reason so many people are losing their houses is they spend more than they make, get loans for houses they can barely afford (or can't at all) and when the market goes south they are screwed. It is happening right here in MI. in my neighborhood. It is not the fault of the government, it is personal poor stewardship of money, that's it, real simple. I am shocked at how many people I now who are retirement age and don't have savings enough or at all! Then I look at their spending habits and it's all very clear, these are people who don't have a big stake in the market too, just overspending.
