Mar 23rd 2010 2:01PM This entire bill scares the be-jesus out of me. I do not see how it is going to work. If you do not have insurance you will be penalized??? With more and more people getting laided off every day from their jobs and unemployment only lasting 6 months how are the 100 million plus people suppose to pay for insurance when they can't make their rent/mortgage, utilities bills, and food??? I am confused :(

Jul 26th 2009 5:26PM Anyone wanting to go into Nursing should first get their feet wet by working as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
That way you get a "feel" for the profession and then and only then can you make a decision as to if being a Nurse is what you really want. I have been a CNA for 29 yrs and I love being in the "trenches" many times I wanted to go back to school and getmy Nursing degree but life got in the way. Nursing has changed so much over the years most facilities and hospitals have licenced Nurses chained to the Nurses's station doing paperwork and barely any patient care. Hospitals now have Patient Care Tech's to do the primary nursing. Which basically free's up the licensed Nurses to do more paperwork. As far as LPN's goes, they do the same as RN's but for lesser pay. To be a Nurse it must be in your blood. It also must come from your heart and soul. Nursing is a very emotionally, physically, and stressful job. Nurse burn out is very wide spread. As far as Nursing shortages goes there is shortages depending on where you live. I am after 29 yrs of being a CNA finally am going to get my nursing degree. I have done a licensed Nurses job and then some. I already have a "heads up" on what to expect...Best wishes to all those who chose to get into the profession just remeber you either are cut out for it or your not. There are alot of people who are in nusing just for the paycheck and could give a rats A** about patient care, especially foreigners ( Africans )

I too, like you were sickened. I researched the Bahamian Gov. on these types of matters and trust me these individuals will be taken care of. I am a proud member of PETA and an animal activist. I also contacted my local representive ( PETA ) and an "all out war" on these people will be waged.
Bless you Lisa and everyone else who is a lover of ALL animals domesticated and wild!! Please people do not buy exotic animals, including birds for pets. God gave birds wings to fly and be free, not put into cages. Birds help pollunate our planet. Taking these animals out of their natural habitat is what is costing not only you people high vet bills when they become ill because being taken from their natural habitats where their natural food is located is why your exotic pets get ill and die. This is also not only killing these animals but also disturbing nature, the plant life and killing off these precious animals which in turn is killing these animals habitats, hense, The Rain Forest, and also killing the Earth. Go out into nature far away from the noise of us humans and I promise you, you will hear Mother Earth cry because we as humans are killing her and her creatures and plants. Every single species and plant life has a unique purpose.

All you people who think it's so cool to have exotic animals as pets are killing not only your pets by the illnesses they get because you have taken them out of their nature habitat and vegatation and insects they eat for their survival that are found in their natural habitat. Especially you people who have exotic birds. God gave birds wings for a reason, so that they can fly and be free. Shame on anyone who buys an exotic bird and locks the animal up in a cage!!! Maybe all of you people who have exotic animals should be taken from the USA and taken to Cuba where the suspected terrorists are being held. Locked up like slime and be given food you aren't use to eating and see how you fare..SHAME ON ALL OF YOU!! That is why this planet is dying. Human's are taking animals/plants etc from where God meant for them to be. You people are messing with the flow of Mother Nature and are killing Mother Earth!!! Go out into nature away from noise and listen to her cries.

Sep 24th 2008 5:57PM I learned the hard way that one should keep their mouth shut about their past. I always believed in being upfront about everything. When I thought I finally met "The One" I opened my big mouth and told him everything regardless of how ugly it was.
I got sick with a serious kidney infection, and then went home to take care of my dying Father. After my Father's funeral, he and I were not the same and he dumped me. Nice guy huh? it was pure hell dealing with the grief of losing my Father and then the man whom I though was "The One?" The lesson I learned fromn this relationship is to keep my past just where it belongs..In the past!!

Aug 3rd 2008 7:52AM The world we live in today is completely different than the world I lived in as a child. The Mother stayed home and reared teh children while the father was the bread winner. I concider myself so fortuante to have had that experience as a child. I feel so bad for the kids today when they are shuffled from one day care center to the next because in today's world it takes two paychecks to make ends meet.
