What the proposed stimulus means for your pocketbook (WalletPop)
Feb 14th 2009 9:39AM Give the man a chance for goodness sakes. What's it been, a whole 3 weeks or so since he has been in office? Wake up and smell the coffee!
What the proposed stimulus means for your pocketbook (WalletPop)
Feb 14th 2009 9:18AM Unfortunately 300 million people getting 1 million dollars each does not equal to 300 million dollars....it equals to 300 trillion dollars! But if you gave 300 million people a 1 dollar bill, then that would equal 300 million dollars!
And unfortunately, if each got $100,000, then that would cost 30 trillion dollars!
And if you do your math like this in your "small business", then I'm afraid you could be losing lots of money!

Feb 14th 2009 8:52AM Suggesting we "give each adult in America 1 million dollars each. There are 300 million people here in the US so it would be infinitely less expensive than what is on the table right now" is impossible! If you mean 300 million people x $1,000,000, then that would equal to 300 trillion dollars, which is why it would be impossible. Even if you limit it to each American household, then it would still be impossible because that would put the cost somewhere in the neighborhood of 136 trillion dollars. Even at $100,000 per household, the cost would be approximately $13.67 trillion dollars. But if you give each American household $10,000 dollars, then that would still double the national deficit we are facing right now, (thanks to rogue companies, crooks, and ignorant, gullible people) because it would cost 1.37 trillion dollars. If the Federal Government would have said the hell with all the failing businesses, and just gave every American household $10,000, in the beginning of this mess, then we would have spent almost the same amount of money as we are going to after the bailouts and just-approved stimulus payments are exhausted (includes the billions given in bailouts and pending bailout money, plus the 787 billion stimulus just approved). That would have devastated the American economy a lot worse then it is now. So, I think the stimulus plan just approved will help to somewhat stabilize the economy for a few months, while putting people to work and fixing our decaying infrastructures (such as roads, bridges, schools, etc). But if we DO NOT start back producing our own goods, do away with the "cheap" overseas labor and make our businesses stay in America to keep Americans working, and become non-oil dependent from foreign countries, then we may never be able to pull out of this mess. Then you have to take into consideration the very real possibility of the U.S. and its allies having to stop rogue, terrorist sponsoring nations from developing nuclear bombs (which is where we are probably heading because Israel is not going to sit and wait much longer because they can not afford to). So, before and after all is said and done, everyone had better drop to their knees and pray, pray, pray because it is only going to get worse......and life goes on...... hopefully!

Bret and Jemaine should file claim for $78 from Bank of America (WalletPop)
Jan 28th 2009 1:16AM Keep all your receipts for every transaction, until there is no chance(s) for fees to be wrongly deducted/charged to your account(s). When you do this.....the date and TIME of the transaction will be on your receipt....then you got proof that your deposit was supposed to post before your withdrawal or deduction, etc. because you should know what time your deposit is posted to your account, and the receipt(s) prove what time that transaction took place! If whoever does not change it, bank, credit card, etc., then contact the FTC because they say that transactions should be posted in the order they are performed, and not in the order the businesses receive them. If that fails, which it should not, then sue the business' azz!
