Epic: Consoles must be 'bleeding edge' in next generation (Joystiq)

i'm not vouching for the rest of your comment but i'm actually surprised Apple hasn't entered the home console realm with their AppleTV yet. it kind of makes sense if you think about it. i doubt i would buy one since i've never really been a Apple fan but i am surprised they haven't done it yet.
Sony: Call of Duty blasting onto Vita this fall (Joystiq)

that would be awesome and i'm not a big CoD fan. the thought of actual console style mobile online gaming is really intriguing. i know it's been attempted many times before but this somehow just seems like the perfect evolution of the idea and possibly a game changer.
Rumor: Microsoft phasing out Microsoft Points (Joystiq)

i think only in perception it would be raising it, which may not go over so well. he's worried that since he buys points at a discount, stores may be less inclined to offer those discounts since they would be dealing with real currency now. at least that's how i interpreted it (and it's a good point).
Why Final Fantasy XIII just didn't work (Joystiq)
Jan 14th 2012 11:44AM i actually enjoyed XIII. it certainly wasn't the greatest FF i've played but it wasn't terrible. the linear complaint is certainly valid since it felt like they didn't take the training wheels off until around almost 35 hours in, as apposed to single digits with other FF games. but still, i LOVED the battle system, i liked the story, and the visuals where amazing. i'll certainly be picking up XIII-2, especially if they are cutting the hand holding out earlier.

i would also add 10 to the list. not a bad FF game by any stretch and it's stood the test of time a little better as far as visuals go.
PlayStation 3 sells 3.9 million units during the holidays (and other sales data) (Joystiq)

good luck trying to sell it. i guess unless you know somebody. i thought about selling mine a while back but they go for virtually nothing on eBay at this point.
personally, i like the idea of the thing and i had bought it for a GREAT price on eBay a couple years back but i just don't play it. i played a couple exclusives (which were great) but i always end up going back to my PS3, which is why a 6.1 million console sales gap is so astounding to me.
Report: Sony closing BigBig Studio, linking Cambridge with Guerrilla (Joystiq)
Jan 10th 2012 6:46PM @Mega Man
while i'm all for new IP, i do love the idea of playing my favorite PS3 games on the go especially with the experiences (reportedly) being so similar control, scope, and graphics wise.
Vita sales drop again in third week (Joystiq)
Jan 6th 2012 6:37PM @Kaemon
well i'll admit i've never used it but coming from the simplicity of the XMB, this UI really isn't that appealing. it won't stop me from getting one eventually but idk, i'm sure it functions fine but it just looks weird to me.
