I love how the media can pick a flattering shot when they want to show someone in a positive light and this type of shot when they want to make them look even worse. She apologized. She blew it - she admitted it. Now get over it!

Jun 9th 2010 3:21PM Mike - You totally ROCK! This story is soooo inspirational. We have a 19 yr. old son who came down with a very unusual illness in the 4th grade that left him visually impaired after swelling in the brain caused optic nerve damage. Employment has been difficult for him to come by as well (notwithstanding the already current issues within our economy). Your story is fantastic and I applaud you!! I hope the world takes notice!!! :-)

Jan 4th 2010 10:11PM Funny to read this story tonight because over the holidays, my niece who lives in NYand works at a swanky restaurant there, was visiting and during one conversation mentioned that Tyra Banks came into the restaurant where she works to order dinner to go. My niece mentioned that Tyra was very friendly and not uppity at all. Just kind of a: "For what it's worth ..." I'm not sure if what her former employees are saying is true or not - I hope not ... but according to a 23 yr. old waitress, Tyra couldn't have been more pleasant and humble.

Nov 28th 2009 11:37PM I hope this isn't a repeat (I don't have time to read all the other comments) but ... Craig Ferguson is the King of Late Night. I couldn't believe NBC didn't pick him up! If you've never seen him, tune in. It takes a few episodes to "get" his humor but the guy is great. I think he will be huge in time!

I haven't been on any "side" during this entire thing ~ just hoping the media would stay out of it and allow you and your wife the opportunity to work things out if that could happen ... without their lights, camera, action. Sep 29th 2009 6:34PM Well, I guess I am seeing things from another perspective since the consensus seems to be anti-John. Having been divorced since the year 2000 - I will say that my first husband issued a "last minute apology" and a request to take a little more time to work things out ... he asked me to put things off for 6 mos. I refused. We both had a role in the dissolution of our marriage and I didn't want to take any more time ... I wanted it over. Now - looking back - I sincerely wish I would have given us one last chance. People make mistakes and people deserve another chance to get it right. I hope Kate will sincerely accept John's request to hault the divorce proceeding for another 6 month, step OUT of the media spotlight, and see if there is something there that they can recapture ... not only for their kids' sake but for their own.
