Fan Kicked Out of Yankee Stadium for Daring To Take a Potty Break {Fanhouse MLB Blog}

Aug 28th 2008 9:36PM For those who made anti-French comments: You are obviously ignorant of US history. The United States owes its very existence to France since its help in our Revolutionary War, was instrumental to our victory. We did not bail the French out in WW1 either though we helped end the war sooner. Germany was bled white by the British blockade and lost it will to fight. Ludendorf's last offensive was a last gasp effort to salvage victory from the jaws of defeat, mirrorred 26 years later at the Battle of the Bulge. The Free French forces and the Resistance played major roles freeing France from the Nazis and the conservative French collaborators of the Vichy govt though Russia bore the major load bringing Hitler down.

Aug 28th 2008 9:12PM It have a meaning to some and a different meaning for others but it is still just a song.

When did they start playing God Bless America for the stretch, anyway? Let me guess, George started this nationalistic nonsense after the 9/11 hoax/inside job. No wonder the Yanks haven't won a WS this century. They weren't doing back in 1983, that last time I was at the stadium. Last I remember God Bless America was a Philadelphia Flyers thing, back in the heyday of Bobby Clark, just prior to the Islanders rise to the top.

Aug 28th 2008 8:42PM A NYPD officer has no authority to enforce a private rule, the cop is suable under 42 USC 1983. If the city has a policy allowing the cop to enforce the rule then the city can be sued as well. The rule itself is contrary to Baseball tradition, the 7th inning strecht is when one is supposed to get out of one seat. Hell God Bless America is just a song, its not the national anthem, even. This sounds like pure GS bullshit, a pseudo-patriot and convicted felon.

Disrespecting anything with God in it is a 1st Amendment right and an American tradition. Kings rule by the grace of God, coronations are religious ceremonies. John Adams, was the most religious of the founding fathers, and he was a Unitarian Universalist.

Adams would write that if a choice be made of man's two great inventions, government and religion, clearly a world with the former and without the later would be far more preferable than the reverse.

Aug 23rd 2008 1:11AM Mr. Anderson NO founder was a devout Christian, not one nor any of the first 8 Presidents. Adams was the most religious of the founders and he was a Unitarian Universalist. Jefferson carried a Bible he personally edited, tossing the whole Old Testament, and every Book of the New Testament except the Gospels. From the Gospels he edited out every claim of divinity and miracle. Jefferson left himself with a text of pure liberal values AKA the Sermon on the Mount. THe idea of a conservative Christian is a true oxymoron. One cannot follow Christ and hold conservative "values."

Aug 23rd 2008 12:59AM The idea the 2nd Amendment represents an individual right is creation of last 40 years. You are delusional or ignorant of English grammar or both. Dred Scott had nothing to do with guns, it was about a slave brought by his master into a free state who claimed he was thus free.

The SCOTUS held a person property rights don't cease at a state border, thus holding the slave status under the state law of his home state must control under Full, Faith and Credit clause and further the Constitution held free states maybe compelled to return runaway slaves found there. The Fugitive Slave Act was later passed, a major trigger of the Civil War.

The 4th or 5th Circuit only a few years ago was the very first US Court to hold the 2nd Amendment was an individual right. Indeed the NRA arguing that point itself is a recent developement. The only prior SCOTUS case was Miller where the SCOTUS ruled on the narrow grounds that there could be no 2nd Amendment right to a sawed off shotgun, as it was unfit for militia usage. At best the 2nd gives one the right to access to a rifle, NOT a handgun.

Aug 23rd 2008 12:38AM US troops abroad are voting with their wallets for Obama by 6 to 1, even Ron Paul gets more from the grunts than McShame. Total US troop contributions here and abroad favor Obama 57% to 43%. Only with Uncle Sam's Misguided Children does McShame hold a slight edge which I find surprising since the USAF is generally the most reactionary of the services, due no doubt to the weight of psychos like Gens. Lemay (criminal firebombing of Japan), Barry Goldwater, and Lemnitzer (Operation Northwoods)in the USAF early years.

Aug 23rd 2008 12:18AM Mr. Anderson : I'll take a UNANYMOUS Senate vote rejecting the very idea the US was a Christian nation over your vague claim of statements by the founders, NONE of whom were church going men. Remember a ratified treaty is US law so as a matter of law the US is NOT a Christain nation. The only thing Christain about the USA are our founding liberal values.

Aug 23rd 2008 12:09AM Mr. Anderson you are very historically naive, to say the least. US gun control laws predate Nazi Germany by almost a century. The West as it became somewhat civilized, started having posted towns. Drunks with guns a danger to EVERYONE. Hitler's gun registration law was a war preperation, EVERY able bodied German male of age who didn't register a gun was issued one! Hitler didn't confiscate guns, he confiscated people, his first targets were the communists, then the liberals and socialists, the only defenders of democracy in Germany. Von Papen who arranged Hitler's appointment as Canchellor was a leading conservative. Conservatives held 8 of the 13 cabinet posts under Hitler in the Conservative-Nazi coalition.

National Socialism was not and is not socialism, it refered to Hitler racist policies later implimented against the Jews and Gypsies. Hitler's economic platform was fascist, tax cuts for corps,banning unions which was why the GOP aided the Nazis. Hitler outlawed unions and abortions, even made it a crime for the woman to get an abortion. Hitler descibed himself as an anti-liberal. All the GOP anti-liberal rhetoric is plagiarized from Hitler's speeches.

The Bush wealth came from laundering money for the Nazis, Thyssen specifically, and running guns to the SA and SS. It also came from slave laborers from Auschwitz via the Union Bank holding: the Silesian Coal Co. These assets were seized under the Trading with the Enemy Act in Oct-Nov 1942, see Federal Vesting Order #248. Even Hobert Hoover was a member of a pro-Nazi group prior to Germany's declaration of war. Ford, GM, Esso(now Exxon) all engaged in TREASON in WW2. IBM went out of its way to aid the Nazis in implimenting the "Final Solution."

Aug 22nd 2008 11:38PM The adulteration by Congress of the Pledge of Alligence of adding "under God" specifically violates Article VI, clause 3 of the US Constitution.
