SodaStream Fountain Jet Soda Lover's Start-up Kit Giveaway (That's Fit)

Apr 13th 2011 10:47AM Seltzer is a great "pick me up" at work! No caffine buzz or sugar crash and, un-like diet soda, there's no aftertaste. I like to add a lime slice or a few blueberries for a nice, natural flavor. Add to the fact that it's a very nice, natural mixer for a cocktail once in awhile, you can't go wrong with seltzer. The Soda Stream Fountain Jet is on my wish list, and I know my kids will enjoy the many flavors and I'll enjoy the money I save!

'The Biggest Loser' Giveaway (That's Fit)

May 25th 2010 2:09PM This seasons favorite for me is Daris. He's quietly gone about his business and done what he set out to do. I think his weight gain of the last week is proof to him that he must remain vigilant in what he does if he plans to keep the weight off. He realizes he has weakness' and must come to terms with them if he wants to have a life that's not overweight. I can really relate to him; 15 years ago I retired from the Army at 165lbs, since then I've balloned to over 225. I haven't gotten any taller, so, the weight is very obvious. Daris has motivaited me to eat better and work out. I've lost 12 pounds and am continuing, but, like Daris, I have my demons that need to be kept under control.

2010 NFL Mock Draft, Fans' Picks Edition: No. 6 - Seattle Seahawks (Fanhouse NFL Blog)

Apr 11th 2010 2:24PM I'm not sold on Whitehurst being the QB of the future. He may be the QB of the half of 2010 and all of 2011, but, unless he has something that SD was hiding by having him third on the depth chart, he'll probably be the 2nd string guy come 2012.

Build from the inside out. Pass on Spiller. RB's last at best 7 years. Get the best avaliable OL with 6 (Bulaga or Okung)and 14 (Campbell, Brown Pouncey). Package the 60 pick with players (Branch? Butler? Ben O?) picks from 2011 & cash and get multiple picks in the second (surely we have something the Bucs, Eagles or Chiefs have an intrest in), find a RB (Blount late) or a safety (Mays or Allen) or a DE (Dunlap, Cody). Heck, I'd even take Tebow late in the second if he's still there.

We don't have to win the division this year, but, we do need to bring guys in who will contribute and build. Blount is a flyer, I know, but, what better way to say the Ruskell era is over than to take him.

Fighting Irish Protest Denny's Potato Famine Ad (Asylum)

Mar 14th 2010 7:02PM RIGHT ON!!! wayne a hit it on the head exactly! There must not be too bad of times right now if someone takes the time to go to Facebook, start a protest page, and try to convince people to boycott Denny's and march in protest.

Me? Think I'll go get a Grand Slam today and maybe a Super Bird sandwich tomorrow!

And thanks for the free breakfest after the Super Bowl Denny's!

Most Oppose Health Care Plan Until They Hear the Specifics, Poll Says (Politics Daily)

Feb 21st 2010 4:28PM Here's a thought: why is AOL selectivly allowing comments on articles? So many of these stories have the tag line at the bottom that AOL is improving the comment experiance. This pro-health care reforme story has comments on; many comments leaning favorably.

AOL wants to be relative in the world, don't censor comments, allow for a free exchange of thoughts.

BTW, health care reform cannot be summed up in these eight simple questions. Everyone wants health care on their job, what if an employeer simply cannot afford it due to being a small business? My company offers it, my share is $175.00 every two weeks, and a $1,200.00 annual deductible. My employers cost is $250.00 every two weeks. We're lucky that the owner of our company takes an intrest in his employees, and wants to have them cared for. But, I often wonder with a company of less than 40 people, how long can he do this for? I dont want the government in there saying he must provide health insurance, but, I know the cost of it can come down somehow.

Patrick Kennedy, Son of Ted Kennedy, to Retire From Congress (Politics Daily)

Feb 12th 2010 12:04PM (cue music from Queen)
bomp bomp bomp, Another one bites the dust!
How many liberal/socialistic leaning member of congress leaves. How many have now announced they're not running for re-election? NOT ENOUGH OF THEM!
Maybe we should be thankful they're realizing the job is not a career. Are you listening Sen Byrd?

Fight the Power: Giants, Jets Fans Rage Against The PSL Machine (Fanhouse NFL Blog)

Aug 21st 2008 1:54PM I remember when the Houston/Tennessee Oilers/Titans were building the stadium in Nashville. I lived about one hour north and thought this would be a very cool way to see my favorite pro sport. After I found that I had to pay a seperate fee, just for the "right" to buy a season ticket I backed out. The mid-level seats PSL was over $1,000.00 per seat! Even the upper level seats where the partying is a lot looser and fun were over $500.00 per seat! Just for the right to buy a season ticket. If you give up your season ticket, the next person to buy the ticket still has to pay a PSL fee. It's a crock. Nearly all stadiums are built with public money, Jerry Johnson being the exception. Why do owners need this extra money?

Obama to Announce VP Via Text Message (Switched)

Aug 20th 2008 1:50AM Obviously, the Messiah, BHO, cares so much about Alaska. That's why we can't text the "VP" message to his "special VP number..." Once again, a Lib who wants to tell Alaska and the nation how great he is, and what he will do to Alaska and how unspecifically he'll "Change", without allowing us to communicate to him.

I'll learn McCain's VP choice the old-fashioned way, through the radio or TV or newspaper. After all, my attention span is longer than a text message.

Hasselbeck Supports Bush, Loses Fans (Fanhouse NFL Blog)

Sep 7th 2007 12:32AM Yes, I heard about this today on the radio. Are you really kidding me that the knee jerk reaction is "I hate you and your team now"?? Relax. If he gave his money to Planned Parenthood's abortion clinics and it made the news a week later, would there be an outcry? No. This only made news because the President was there and AOL/TimeWarner tries to show him and anyone around him in a bad light.

This hate of lefties and righties towards each other is tiresome and only causes people to tune out politics.

BTW, Sedja, I'll pray for your son, the volunteer, and his safety while he's fighting in Iraq for democracy and stopping the spread of radical Islam. Tell him "HOO-WA!" from a retired 101st Airborne Trooper!
