Dunkin' Donuts pulls Rachael Ray ad that supports terrorism? (WalletPop)

Jun 3rd 2008 8:35AM Malkin is a right wing hate media gonzo porn star. That is crystal clear. The real story is Dunkin Donuts' jaw-dropping executive cowardice in their response to her. By appeasing Malkin and the hate-porn addicts who are addicted to her hate, DDs has incurred far more outrage from "normal" people than they would have experienced from Malkin's lunatic fringe. And DDs also threw their own celebrity spokesperson under the bus. I hope Rachael Ray is able to assert herself legally against DDs - maybe collect whatever $$ DDs was going to pay her through the end of her contract RIGHT NOW. Shame on Michelle "Gonzo Hate Porn Star" Malkin and even more shame on the chicken-bleep execs at DD's who are scared of their own shadow!

Save on Wifi, Starbucks to debut "free" wifi on Tuesday (WalletPop)

Jun 3rd 2008 8:28AM jmac is correct. Panera Bread is Starbucks' true competitor, not Bumpkin (heh, I mean Dunkin) Donuts. Starbucks blundered badly by acting more like DDs by copying DD's very loud drive thru stores that people don't want to sit in. And many of the stores are noticeably small and uncomfortable compared to Panera, which is where I am right now as I type this! The coffee at Starbucks is excellent despite other posts here, and their new Pike Place coffee is really good, but they should have been concentrating on the coffee and a reasonable wi-fi offer a very long time ago. As a result, Panera is eating Starbucks' lunch, or should I say, breakfast!

Charles Barkley Calls Conservatives "Fake Christians" (News Bloggers)

Feb 19th 2008 3:15PM Charles Barkley basically reiterated on CNN what John McCain said so accurately back in 2000: conservative christians are "agents of intolerance."

Of course, McCain has done an about-face from that brave and 100% accurate stance and has spent the last 8 years desperately sucking up to conservative christians in order to become President. McCain has sold his integrity, his principles, his self-respect and his very soul in the process.

McCain is a beaten down shell of his former self, now he is just another political whore for the conservative religious right nutties.

Pathetic!

Hot Seat: Mike Huckabee, Lady Killer? (Politics Daily)

Jan 31st 2008 1:18PM Laura Yates wrote: Janet, you like many other people have no clue what the Founders meant when they added the 1st Amendment. Our country had a national religion when it was founded. It was called, "Christianity."

Uh, no. The founding fathers were deists or Unitarians but not Christian.

See for yourself if you dare: http://www.nobeliefs.com/Tripoli.htm
Go on...read it!

Oh, and do a little searching about the "Jefferson Bible" again only if you dare. Thomas Jefferson did not believe in Jesus' divinity, the Trinity, the resurrection, miracles, or any other supernatural aspect described in the Bible.

I don't expect these facts to sway right wing christians in any way. As the saying goes, you can lead a christian fundamentalists to the facts, but you can't make him (or her) think.

Hot Seat: Mike Huckabee, Lady Killer? (Politics Daily)

Jan 31st 2008 1:08PM Mike Huckabee personally intervened to set serial rapist Wayne Dumond free. Apparently Huckabee and his far right backers were certain Dumond became a "born again christian" and was wrongly jailed because one of Dumond's rape victims was a distant Clinton relative. So deep was their hatred for Clinton, Huckabee fought for Dumond's parole.

Dumond went on to rape again. This alone should disqualify Huckabee from being in charge of scraping s**t off the sidewalk, much less the Oval Office. The guy is a monster.

Maybe "surrendered christian women" like Huckabee, but that certainly doesn't include any women who dare to think for themselves.

Oh yeah, and his son hung a dog to death. Huckabee personally made sure no charges were brought against his son.

Ah, Huckabee. With "christian faith" 'n "family values" like his, who needs vices?

Huckabee Advocates Changing the Constitution to Live By "God's Standards" (News Bloggers)

Jan 17th 2008 2:28PM Sbanks' right wing delusions debunked in 2 minutes! Well done phillystudent.

For some true Huckabee sickness, read The Complete Huckabee-Dumond Files:

THIS is who the Christian wingnuts want as their Christian Ayatolah, oops, I mean President?!?!

Bridge Burned (Politics Daily)

Nov 14th 2007 1:21PM "Given the complex questions of the limitations of free speech when representing one's country at an international competition, this incident more closely mirrors the black power salute that U.S. sprinters Tommie Smith and John Carlos offered the world from the
medal podium at the 1968 Mexico City Olympic Games."

David Knowles is foolishly comparing open contempt displayed by two USA Olympic atheletes DURING THE NATIONAL ANTHEM with a team of American bridge players who in sharp contrast did NOT denegrate their
country (as much as the far right goose-stepping brownshirts would like to declare anyone who does not publicly laud Herr Chancellor Bush as a treasonous terrorist.)

The bridge team justifiably wanted to let their foreign hosts know that they are American but are not part of the Cheney/Bush fascist machine and in so doing exercised their American right to free speech. Good for them.

Mr. David Knowles, you sir, are an IDIOT.

NFL: Crowd Noise Controversy Was CBS Audio Glitch, Not Colts Cheating (Fanhouse NFL Blog)
