I see my comments have unnerved some. Sadly, I'v come to realize the extent to which parents will go to figure out how to parent.
Now all of us can crawl back into our respective shells. Safe in the knowledge that Lynn's 15y/o son has an automotive factory job waiting for him and can rummage through discards and build his own computer. Unfortunately none of my kids will be hiring him in the future. He'll be too busy trying to figure out why he's unable to function in this big, diverse world.

Have you forgotten the beauty and curse of being a teenager? You think your invincible. Its been going on for generations... time stands still for no one.

Better to send them into the world well armed and knowing.

BTW: your kid is L7 (look it up). Why would he pay to order porno when its found free? Sounds like you may have more issues than you believe going on..

Jan 28th 2011 11:13AM Lynn: Dude.... I'm on the PTA at the number 47 High School in the country. "Parental Controls"??? you must live in fear and ignorance if you think you can control the information (however situationally abhorrent you find it) that your teen sees. Too funny. Did you throw up when you found the porn? or did you go and have a conversation with your kid about, sex, porn, health, safety, sexuality, prostitution. tantra etc etc.? If parents have done their job they wouldn't need to stalk their kids to find out whats up in their lives.

Before whats too late??? You enjoy finding out things that are uncomfortable for you? We all (yes you too) did things when we are teenagers that in hindsight we wouldn't repeat.. its called growing up. You can't prevent that from happening to your child...

So really, what did you do after finding the porn??

How many of you will get rid of your internet service? or follow your kid to the library? or to their friends house? or take away their internet capable phone?. what would someone else find if they went through your history?? Sad Sad Sad that they way we keep our kids safe is by stalking them.....
