May 12th 2011 8:42PM People need to grow up. We live in a society where we are dictated that we can't call people ugly, insulting things unless, of course, they are fat. People think that it's okay to insult a fat person because they are lazy, they overindulge or do nothing but sit around and eat the refrigerator. Well, not all fat people do that and it's about time people realize that it's as hurtful to call an overweight person a name as it is to hurl a racial slur or a gay name or a special needs person a name. Think about it the next time you call someone a nasty name.

Feb 16th 2011 8:39PM I don't know how this became a health insurance issue, but I'm going to comment to the "Go Barry" crowd. If this country had not become so sue happy, lining the pockets of scumbag attorneys, we wouldn't have outrageous medical costs. How do I know this? I have been in the medical field for countless years. Ask any old-time doctor how much his malpractice insurance has gone up because people just decide that they have to sue the doctor for every stupid thing. Granted, there are definite legitimate cases out there, but sometimes there is just nothing humanly possible that can be done by doctors and they don't deserve to be sued.

Now, the same can be moved over the other types of insurance. You have people who just think that insurance companies have bags full of money sitting around. Well where in the hell do you think those bags full of money come from? The people who pay the premiums, DUH. The fraud, the unnecessary lawsuits are what drive up the costs.

I am not one to give a rip about what a person has amassed in their life because it just really doesn't matter to me. If he has a job and a place to live, it's all good. If his personality sucks butt, then what difference does it make if he owns a mansion and has servants? It wouldn't. See my point?

Old Wives Saying to the Men: Those women you are dating are someones mother/sister/grandmother/auntie: Treat them with the respect you would give your own mother.
