Dec 4th 2009 7:09PM let me set the example for you.... its tuesday... you have $100 in your account.... you make a bunch of small purchses... $5 here $2 there lets say you made 6 small purchases adding up to $26..... now these all are posted as "pending" charges on your account.... now on thursday, you make a $100 purchase... its very important and you know you will get charged with an overdraft but you are ok with it.....

you look at your account on friday morning before work and BOOM! all your purchases have cleared... however, they took the $100 purchase you made yesterday out first!!! then the small purchases out after.... so instead of having one overdraft charge for $35, now you have 6 overdraft charges and it cost you $210.... of course im using the Bank of America model.... but do you understand? they dont take out purchases in the order of which they are made.... rather they take them out the largest first.... very sneaky..... very wrong..... government does nothing about it

Dec 4th 2009 8:05AM but if people choose to use a legal drug that is more addictive and highly toxic that is ok? 35,000 people die each year in america alone from alcohol... thats just from health related concerns and overdoses.... 430,000 people die every year in america alone from tobacco.... 0 people die in the world... in all of recorded history from marijuana, which is scientifically proven to be MUCH less harmful than alcohol or tobacco....

tobacco is a drug, alcohol is a drug, asprin is a drug, caffiene is a drug... what is the difference between all those and marijuana? they kill people from their use whereas marijuana use cannot kill you.... funny huh? it would be if there werent over 800,000 arrests each year for a plant that has been used for thousands of years

NEVER! and all scientific studies show that not only does it not cause cancer, but it actually protects you from cancer..... and before you go thinking that marijuana hasnt been studied much, there have been over 17,500 studies done on it.... its time to stop being ignorant and use the computer you are sitting in front of to research..... a marijuana only smoker has less of a chance of getting cancer than people who dont smoke anything!!! that is scientific FACT....

Nov 16th 2009 5:32AM well bob, let me try and explain this to you.... right now marijuana goes for about $150 an ounce... for crap... in the black market..... however, you can EASILY grow a POUND of marijuana for $25..... if you legalize it then you can tax it, $50 an ounce is sounding like the norm, and you could sell it for half the price of the black market!.... and it doesnt cost much more to grow more potent weed.... few bucks more per pound....but you can sell it for a lot more.... oh.. and 1 ounce lasts most people 1-3 months....... so before you spew your ignorance, do some research will ya?

Nov 16th 2009 5:25AM i would just like to correct your statement.... tobacco causes FAR more deaths than alcohol.... tobacco causes about 430,000 deaths per year in the US alone.... whereas alcohol (violence and driving included) cause 85,000 deaths per year in the US..... just letting you know.....
