Robot-Human Merger May Be Coming Soon {Switched.com}

Jul 19th 2008 9:27PM Just some more "research" suggestions. (I'm sort of like an idea man.)
On the respirocyte, a robotic red blood cell replacement:
The nanoparticles could have a "sense" that blood flow has been severely dimished. (Weak heatbeat detected or rising CO2.) It doesn't matter if it's through accident or stroke. The nanites would start "collecting" O2 from fatty tissue or other non-brain tissue (nerve) in its location, and freeing the oxygen, or stripping it from CO2 directly, so the brain or other oxygen deprived tissues in its location can survive longer during accidents. Such a dramatic breakthru would make 21st century participants almost seem immortal. This would be an EXCELLENT injectable feature to give our soldiers just before combat to increase survival. The CPU/Human merger is also quite intriguing, btw.

Robot-Human Merger May Be Coming Soon {Switched.com}

Jul 19th 2008 9:12PM I LIKE the idea of artificial homoglobin. That would be awesome! The #1 killer of accident victims, especially car victims, is bleeding to death or blunt trauma that inteferes with blood flow, or the heart damaged and it stops (dead). Bruising can be bodily repaired, and so can bones...but bleed out deprives the body of life giving oxygen until help arrives. If we could replace bio homglobin with something far surperior in millions of folks...that can dispense O2 for over 15-30 minutes without a heartbeat, for instance...many who are given up for dead would miraculously survive traditional "death." If "comatose" patients could be put on heart-lung machines at the ER, there is no telling HOW MANY heartattack and stroke victims could be saved. We'd all live to be 120, or beyond, once tissues can be kept alive longer. This should be a research priority.

Hot Seat: Obama's World Tour {Political Machine Blog}

Jul 18th 2008 6:55PM I see the postings on here are getting much slower. Mine never seem to be where I can find them, or expect them to be... Anyway, McCain should never have dared Obama to go overseas and investigate Iraq, etc. Obama has a way of turning these news worthy events into assets. I'm sure by the time the media has all the pix and photo opts done...the Big O will look like a natural born leader, that is openly embraced by the world. Perception is everything. Once the Big O takes center stage at Denver Coliseum, with 1,000's of screaming fans, it will almost look like a rock star coronation.

Hot Seat: Obama's World Tour {Political Machine Blog}

Jul 18th 2008 6:34PM Actually...Obama is MORE popular overseas than in the US, as it turning out. There is a circus around him, and the world has almost annoited him the US's 1st black president before the election is even over. Popularity and easy communication are what diplomacy is all about...and Obama is carrying a full deck. I'm sure we'll see lots of happy faces, and words of praise on his emmerging diplomatic abilities. McCain shouldn't have "prodded" Obama on a dare...to go overseas. The big O has a way of turning everything he does into an asset. This trip will undoubtably be very sucessful as well. That might leave McCain holding the bag...or whatever used to be in it.

AOL Straw Poll: July 7-14 {Political Machine Blog}

Jul 10th 2008 2:35AM Let's hope this one posts in a timely manner. I'm getting tired of not findimg my posts where they should be.

BTW - Those voting for McCain, HOW do you propose to FUND the 100 year war in Iraq...with Iraq's Parliment about to pass TIMETABLES for the withdraw of AMERICAN troops? They will be RESTRICTING where US troops can patrol. Also...Isn't it WEIRD, Halliburton (Chaney, INC) SOLD the nuke hardware to Iran, over 10 years ago??? WHO did the Iraqi scientists SELL their yellowcake (uranium) to, btw? Nobody knows for sure.

AOL Straw Poll: July 7-14 {Political Machine Blog}

Jul 10th 2008 2:13AM I can't believe somebody and all their friends are voting for McCain in CA (see earlier) unless they are dyed in the wool Republicans. Even my Republican Aunt all her life is voting DEM this fall. I'm in a profession that gets all the gossip. I haven't heard of ANYBODY voting for McCain in N.CA. for WEEKS. And 59% for McCain on AOL means there are other economic levels being completely ignored on here. Officially it is over 56% pro Obama. Only a fraction of the pop. use AOL as their ISP, btw.

Reader Predicts Celebrity Robot Hookers {Asylum}

Jul 7th 2008 3:53AM On celebrity robots. YEP. I can see that as a huge growth industry in the next 20 years. Commercialized. It will become as important as the car industry is now. Every young man will have a replica of his favorite star, porno or not, sitting on the couch in his apartment. They do that now...but the sex technology will advance tremendously. He'll treat her like a piece of furniture when she is not on. Sex Party pals will ask if they can activate her and take a "ride." Girls will have a "John." As the sexbots become more sofisticated, many youth will opt to stay single...with a techno crush on their celebrity sexbots. (Ever seen Cherry 2000? Ever seen Bicentennial Man?) It certainly will slow down population growth. I see a sexbot ultimately surpassing a human sex partner in both performance, attractiveness, with features beyond human sexual capability. In the century beyond ours, the lines between humans who have had themselves technically altered and andriods, will blur.

Supreme Court Bans Death Penalty For Child Rape {News Bloggers}

Jun 26th 2008 3:46PM Let's examine WHAT actually happens in a country where rape is punishable by DEATH...the Philippines. There, about 1-2 pedophiles a year get executed. That number is very LOW compared with the amount of crime. Theoretical reason? The child victims are discouraged from reporting by family members...since most child rape is a relative. Therefore...the vast majority AVOIDS the legal system...in order to preserve the family. The same would happen in the USA if it became law.

Three-year-old saves mom with 911 song {ParentDish}

Jun 26th 2008 3:16PM How does the SONG go? Maybe it is something that can be taught to all toddlers and young children to save lives. It could become a standard growing up song right along with the Barney stuff.

They should play it on the News Media and make it a download on CNN, etc. Since this lady CREATED the song, she can get royalties thru BMI everytime the song is used commercially. Just a thought.

Robots to Be Our Lovers By 2050, Not Just in Massachusetts {Switched.com}

Jun 23rd 2008 7:38PM On robot lovers. Most of us are average looking. Men want a super model, but can't have her. Andriod lovers gives every sexual human being, including ladies, the ability to enjoy physical love with a very sexy and good looking partner, that will increase their self esteem. It allows having a partner that is always ready and never says no. At least that's the theory. Ever seen CHERRY 2000? It gives you an idea what an andriod lover might be like. It certainly might be effective birth control and slow down venerial diseases. We could become a race of singles, that only reproduce in the lab.
