Bees Invade Marlins' Sun Life Stadium (Fanhouse MLB Blog)
Jul 19th 2010 2:22PM Two things are obvious girlrocket3.
1) You are not a sports fan. Not a problem. Not everyone is a sports fan and to each their own.
2) You did not actually read the article. See below:
"No one was stung, and a bee removal company was called in to deal with the swarm." As for your comments to John Stow, while his comment is dumb your retort is not much better if not worse. He was insulting. I'll give you that, but then you went right down there with him and instantly became no better than him. The whole two wrongs thing . . . you know."Maybe Papa never told you but there is more to life than football, baseball and whatever sportive, jock itch your overpaid rapist sports gladiators can come up with to sell beer commercials."
Overpaid rapist gladiators? Really? That alone ALMOST makes his comment legitimate! Sell beer commercials? Commercials are not sold. Companies pay to have the commercials aired to hopefully sell the product advertised. Get a life It might not make you happier but it will certainly help you think clearer.
NASA Radar-Ready Rover Helps Solve Murder Case (Switched)
Jul 16th 2010 9:33AM Beautiful sentiment Candy.
Only problem is this is not an article about the Veterans Administration Hospital.
It may be true that the comment from eMax might be a bit overzealous, it is on topic and I believe well intentioned.
While I agree with you that we need to take better care of our veterans, this is not a story about them.
NASA (and the military for that matter) has come up with technologies that are beneficial to everyone, veterans included, and they should be applauded for that.
Pull back and look at the big picture.
Arcade Fire Pledge $1 Million to Haiti Earthquake Aid (Spinner)
Jul 14th 2010 9:41PM Relax. It is not a fireable offense, it is just a mistake. Everyone including yourself knows what they meant to say. Nobody is perfect. I will say it is something that should be caught and corrected before it is released to the public. How about we just laugh and point so next time the author will be more careful!
Arcade Fire Pledge $1 Million to Haiti Earthquake Aid (Spinner)
Jul 14th 2010 9:37PM I just read that and scrolled down in the hopes I would not be the only one to catch it. I salute you!
I am not a huge fan of this band but they are very interesting and I particularly enjoy seeing them swap out on instruments from time to time. It doesn't seem to be something done to show off as much as for mixing things up and having fun.
Joy Behar: Mel Gibson Is Not Welcome on 'The View' (PopEater)
Jul 14th 2010 1:25AM I do not agree with the things Mel Gibson said but I also don't believe that it is any of our business. We are listening to a private conversation(OK rant)that never should have been made available to the public. I'd bet that if everyone who has slammed him had all of their conversations recorded there would be things that they would be ashamed of too.
I am not going to say what I think about Joy Behar except to say that she thinks she is right no matter what.
God bless you Whoopi Goldberg! I may not always agree with you but you always have a valid reason for your beliefs.
A little lesson for holier than though Joy Behar. Alcohol makes a lot of people lose control of themselves and makes them do all kinds of things that they would find reprehendible sober.
I say this from experience and it is the main reason I quit drinking in 1989 because I actually did and said things that were against my belief system.
Hate all you want. It makes you no better than what you think of him.
James Patterson Becomes First Author to Sell 1 Million E-Books (Switched)
Jul 12th 2010 2:13PM I am not sure where this name came from and why it didn't use Floyd but that is neither here nor there.
I took another look at both of your posts and I tried really hard to find any kind of "constructive criticism" in either.
There is none.
There are only insults, and God forbid anybody call you out on it!
James Patterson Becomes First Author to Sell 1 Million E-Books (Switched)
Jul 12th 2010 1:56PM I am very scared that you take your reading so seriously because this is fiction we're talking about here. This stuff is not going to change the world! If you take this stuff so seriously one has to wonder about your stability.
That aside, just because you say that these two authors being compared is like comparing Apples and Oranges it does not make it so.
Unlike Apples and Oranges this is very subjective and not nearly as clear cut.
You have made it clear you do not care for James Patterson and you think that Dan Brown is the bees knees. In case you missed it the point of the article was about Patterson being the first to sell a million e-books and was not a review of his work.
It is one thing to judge and it is another thing to be judgmental. Nothing in your previous post was constructive. It was quite to the contrary. Also the same goes for the last sentence of this post. I would certainly, based on your two posts, rather home school my children than have them be subjected to your self righteous rtamblings.
Perhaps you should put down that book you take so seriously and walk outside and getyourself a breath of fresh air.
James Patterson Becomes First Author to Sell 1 Million E-Books (Switched)
Jul 11th 2010 3:11PM Perhaps you are having broken-logic dreams because you use broken logic!
"After having read a Patterson book, I have broken-logic dreams more frightening than any imagined psychosis...as happens when I read any book "written" by a mind scattered, disorganized or just plain incomplete,as I believe Patterson's to be."
If any book has this affect on you then it is doing what it was intended to do. Make an impression.
Perhaps you should take a hard look at yourself before judging others. Just saying!
Oh and last time I checked it is a free world and I am pretty sure anybody can compare any author they choose.
Appalled? If this kind of petty stuff is literally appalling to you, then please do not read a newspaper or watch the news because your head will explode!
Arrogance is not pretty!
I will leave you with this.
"Such is a mind that produces tripe....be careful who you lump in that category Mr. Reviewer...you may find yourself there as well..."
That was written by a mind scattered, disorganized and just plain incomplete!
Also, that sentenceor those sentences (not sure which) is/are just what you supposedly abhor. Tripe!
Amazon Kindle dual-screen e-reader patent granted, Barnes & Noble Nook potentially in trouble (Engadget)
Jul 6th 2010 7:30PM @Spaceman Spiff
"@akugyaku Where do you gather that nobody knew (or could have known) about this patent application during the 4 years between filing and issuance?"
It seems obvious you didn't actually read the article.
This should answer your question.
"What's more, Amazon agreed not to file for any corresponding foreign patents during the four-year approval process and thus wasn't required to publish the patent application -- meaning this is likely a complete surprise to the entire industry."
AC/DC Forced to Cut Short Show After Plane Malfunction (Spinner)
Jun 2nd 2010 12:36PM willie
at 6-02-2010No, skidmark- you SAW them - you didn't SEEN them. Try going to English classes as often as concerts and you might be able to complete a proper sentence.
You, Willie, act as if this is being done for a scientific journal.
Katkiller gets his point across while you make yourself look like an ass. We don't need you to point out every single mistake in grammar or spelling to us. We can do that ourselves and figure out on our own whether or not to give a particular response any credence.
If you cannot actually add to the conversation, stay out of it please.
To the subject at hand. If this had happened to them in the States, they probably would have played longer to make up for their being late. AC/DC is a great band and I salute them for keeping it going for as long as they have.
