Hollywood Hunks With the Best Hair (Stylelist)
Jul 5th 2010 10:58AM Hey, David. Some of us don't have a lot of pigment in our skin. It's just the way we're born. And it's not a vampire thing. I'm translucent in many areas, and I FRY if I go in the sun.
Should 'Cool' Parents Be Punished for Underage Drinking? (Lemondrop)
Jun 26th 2010 7:45PM I have mixed feelings on this one. I definitely agree that everyone should decide what is best for his/her child, and other parents should not be making that decision for someone else's children. I'm not sure I would allow my children to drink. My parents let me taste their drinks when I was a child and even occassionally looked the other way when I had a drink as a teen. I don't think made me avoid alcohol or be any wiser about drinking. I had plenty of drunk nights as a college student. I don't believe that letting a child experiment makes that child wiser or less likely to abuse a substance. I don't believe that it's necessarily all genes either, as someone else mentioned. I think one's genes can make someone more likely to abuse substances, but that doesn't mean they can't control their urges. We are responsible for our choices and blaming it on one's genes is a cop out. The one thing my parents definitely drove into me is that if I was going to drink, which they didn't necessarily condone, then I absolutely should not drive. And I ALWAYS followed that rule.
Opinion: Don't Hate On Kim Kardashian Because She Doesn't Want to See Your Boobs (ParentDish)
Jun 24th 2010 2:59AM Obviously you haven't breast fed a child. If you had, you would know that straight from the breast is the best for the baby. Certain antibodies and protective properties of breast milk break down when breast milk is pumped. So, it is best for the baby to drink straight from the breast, and it doesn't need any heating because it is the perfect temperature. Furthermore, many breastfeeding babies reject bottles. My son would NEVER drink pumped milk from a bottle. I, and other family members, tried so many times to give him a bottle. So do some research before you make ignorant comments. Women have breasts to nurse babies. Bottles are not as natural as the breast. It is ridiculous for you to suggest that a mother must feed her baby pumped milk in a bottle so that YOU are comfortable!
Opinion: Don't Hate On Kim Kardashian Because She Doesn't Want to See Your Boobs (ParentDish)
Jun 23rd 2010 10:31PM I breastfed my son for 2 years, but I never did it sitting at a restaurant table. Although, I would never be offended by a woman who did. Nursing my son really opened my mind to public breastfeeding. Sometimes your baby is hungry, and you can't starve him. There were a few times I had to nurse in public, like on an airplane with no place to go.
However, changing a baby on the table in a restaurant is just disgusting! It's unsanitary.
drey made a very good point. My son did not like to have a blanket or any type of cloth over his head/face when he was eating. He used to rip it right off. This was one of the reasons I tried not to nurse in public. However, that was my choice. Why do others feel they have a right to tell other mothers how to nurse? The woman who wrote this article doesn't want to be criticized for feeding her baby a bottle, but she openly criticizes those who nurse in public. Talk about glass houses!
izitrong, you sound VERY insecure! Trust me, the LAST thing on a nursing mother's mind is attracting some guy in a restaurant. I'm sorry that you can't be more secure in the guys you date. If a man is truly interested in you, he's not going to spend his time ogling a woman nursing her baby! In fact, I would question any man, other than perhaps the baby's father, who was turned on by it.
I Spent $3,000 to Save My Dog - and I'd Do It Again (Pawnation OLD)
Jun 23rd 2010 1:14PM It's an excruciating decision to make when you truly can't afford the costs. I had to put my 13 year old cat down last year because he had developed cancer. I have a 4 year-old son, and he comes first now. I didn't have thousands to spend on my cat. Although, I'm sure I've spent thousands on him over the course of his life. I spent hundreds as it was, and my cat's prognosis was poor to fair at best according to the vet. I understand spending money on a pet but when the quality of life is not there anymore, it's time to say good-bye. If my cat had been a kitten, like this writer's puppy, I'm sure I would have forked over the cash. Pets definitely make life better at times.

Celtics fans nauseate and disgust me! All they ever scream is "Beat L.A." instead of actually CHEERING for their team! They wanted to win on hate. Well SUCK IT Celtics!!! Get over your inflated and unwarranted egos in Boston!!! Stop blaming the refs and Hollywood and everything else your feeble minds attempt to conjure up. You're pathetic and jealous because California has luxuries that you don't! Face it, your team couldn't do it; they LOST!!! Now go on with your miserable existence.
