Angelina Jolie: Octuplets Mom Creeps Me Out (ParentDish)
Feb 17th 2009 9:27AM I would like to know how she paid for the fertility treatments. They are very expensive and if she is not working and not married, I would love to know how she was able to afford this procedure.
Why is it "her right" to have as many children as she may want? If she was financially able to provide for so many children, then fine, however, it is clear that she was having trouble caring for the 6 she already had. I personally would like to buy a Bentley however, I know that I can not afford to own a car that expensive SO I DO NOT BUY ONE. Why shouldn't it be "my right" to have what I want too?
I am the mother of spontaneous twin daughters -- never did any fertility -- and I can tell you that caring and providing for TWO babies is a huge job and extremely expensive. My husband and I waited until we could afford to care for our children properly before trying to get pregnant. It is called being a responsible adult and understanding that unless you are a multimillionaire, that you can't have whatever you want. My daughters were born early and spent 5 weeks in the hospital. They just turned 6 and we finally paid off their medical bills. We had insurance but it was not 100% coverage. (Had we not had any insurance, their care would have been free to us.) I can't even imagine how much these babies will cost the tax payers and state.
This doctor needs to come forward and explain how he was paid for this service. Something is very wrong here.
Eight Ways to Look Better In Pictures (Switched)
May 14th 2008 1:57PM I'm a professional photographer and there are times when I will use a flash outdoors. It's called "fill flash" and in the right situation, it really can make your pictures look 10 times better. I would NEVER shoot under someone's nostrills, unless it was my goal to exaggerate their height and make the person look super tall. Even then, that only works with very few people!
Keith Olbermann Is Really, Really Angry (News Bloggers)
Jul 5th 2007 6:48PM Okay, so Clinton almost got impeached for having an affair with Monica. Not the most ethical thing to have done as a married man, but guess what! That was a private matter that only affected his immediate family, not the safety of our nation and soldiers. If Clinton almost got impeached for his lies about oral sex (which again, did not cause anyone to die) then why has GWB been able to get away with all of his lies; lies that have led our country to war. A war with no end!
Olbermann finally said what has been needing to be said. Anyone who does not agree with him has either been living in a cave for the last few years or is just foolish enough to continue to blindly support a president who clearly is not putting the country first. He led us to war ON A LIE. If the start of the war was to get SH, well, we got him. He's gone. But the war continues. He has no exit strategy...no way to get us out of war...EVER. He's also two faced, with strong connections to the Saudi Royal Family and the whole situation just stinks. I've had enough.
Wanda, Olbermann has every right to be hostile AS SHOULD YOU. As should all of us. It's the liar leading the liar in the White House and it's time for them to go. How many more must die because of Bush's incompetence?
Starbucks and God don't mix for one customer (BloggingStocks)
May 18th 2007 4:21PM Oh PLEASE give me a break already. Good that this one lady will be boycotting Starbucks because she was personally insulted...more coffee for me! I'm a strict vegan and I get offended when I see lobsters in tanks and meat in the grocery store but I choose not to buy those items. This woman thinks an awful lot of herself. To each his/her own but this is just stupid.
Looking for the Perfect Wedding Dress? Make It Personal (oldstylelist)
Apr 27th 2007 8:03PM I was lucky enough to wear an Amsale gown at my wedding and it was PERFECT. I'm very petite so I needed something that would not overpower me or make me look lost in the dress. My gown was classic and elegant and I felt so beautiful that day...Thanks Amsale.
Marcia Cross gives birth to twin girls (AOL TV)
Feb 23rd 2007 7:29AM Double congratulations to Marcia and her family.
I was also put on bedrest at 26 weeks and my twin daughters were born in Feb. (they were also due in April.) They spent 5 weeks in intensive care which was horrific but today they are HEALTHY, perfectly fine 4-year-olds with no complications from having been born so early.
I wish Marcia and her family health and happiness.
Being the mother of twins is so amazing...she's truly blessed.

The Knee Defender: Preventing Airplane Seats from Reclining (Gadling)
Jan 14th 2007 4:50AM This whole seat back thing really surprises me -- I think everyone should have the option of reclining providing they politely notify the person behind them prior, who is also able to recline to obtain more room. There are times when my neighbor keeps his light on when I want to sleep -- that's annoying to me but what right do I have to dictate to him that he turns it off if he wants to read? Or when a child is playing with a loud annoying computer game? I think the whole issue would do well if everyone could be more polite when reclining.
Nelly Furtado on breastfeeding and weight loss (ParentDish)
Aug 28th 2006 8:29PM I nursed my twin daughters until they were 18 months old. I weighed 87 lbs. prior to my pregnancy and was back in my size 24's by the time my girls were 3 months-old, but that's just me. Granted, my daughters were born early and spent 5 weeks in intensive care, so I didn't have a lot of time to eat anyway. (I'm not even 5 feet tall.)
Every one is different and every mother has to do what is best for herself and her baby. I do not care for Nelly Furtato's comments that people who claim that breast feeding makes one lose weight are liars. Just because it didn't work for her is no reason to make such sweeping general comments like this.
