The Faded Love Story of Mel and Robyn Gibson (PopEater)

Jul 19th 2010 4:16PM When crusty old men learn the only reason that a young thing isn't scoping him out, but his bank account, maybe families will stay together. Jerk is getting what he deserves.

Clinicians May Be Screening for Cervical Cancer Too Often (AOL Health)

Jun 15th 2010 8:54PM Just how would you know for certain your partner hasn't been with anyone else in that time frame? Sounds like some bean counter dictating women's healthcare...again.

New Teen Driving Act Proposed to Help Save Lives (ParentDish)

May 31st 2010 1:58PM In 2006 there were over 3,500 deaths from unintentional drownings not including boat related incidents. We should enact legislation to prevent every one of these incidents. (These were predominently caused by bathtubs, swimming pools, toilets, etc.) The point is that both of my sons (now 26 yo.) needed their cars to go to work as teenagers. They learned responsibility and how to handle money. I look forward to my daughter driving. I feel for every family that loses someone in an accident. However, knee jerk legislation is not the answer. The texting and talking on a phone is already prohibitted in D.C....for everyone, and that makes good sense.

How the Pill Liberated My Mother . . . and Me (Politics Daily)

May 6th 2010 9:08PM Yes, the pill is a less morally challenging choice than an abortion for a lot of women. But, consider this, when the pill came into being, men became freer in asking for sex without commitment. So, did it free us, or make us feel stupid, ignorant, old fashioned and a prude for not just jumping in the sack. Who did the pill free up? Did I mention that any side effects don't effect the men? Not that the pill is a bad thing. Let's just weigh it fairly.

Kitchen Confessions (Shelterpop)

May 6th 2010 11:25AM I can't wait to get back into my own home. Before I leave the one I'm renting, I will have someone come in to help me clean it. We will clean the carpets on our own. As for my house, if my tenant doesn't bother to do the same, she will have it taken out of her deposit. Read your lease woman. If you leave that mess in the fridge, you should be charged. How rude and thoughtless. Finally, be really careful of just turning on the self cleanin feature on your oven. I pulled a really dumb move when I had been cooking pies, was meeting a new family member for the first time, and turned on the self cleaning oven so that it would be spic and span too. Needless to say, after the fire dept. got done putting out the fire, getting the house back in shape was no easy task. Always make sure your oven is not too gunked up b/f turning on the self clean feature. Also, most stoves come with a top that lifts up. Carefully spray some oven cleaner in this area (avoid the wires) and it will wipe right out.

Where's the 'fridge filter? None of us will every get it all right, but I'd like to know so that I can get rid of the dirt and help the fridge probably run more efficiently. Thanks.

Collies 101 (Pawnation OLD)

Apr 30th 2010 6:57PM I was always a big dog kind of a girl until I rescued Big Mac after a puppy mill bust. I've been rehabbing him for just one year. I couldn't give him up (I was a frequent rehab foster) because his whole life (2.5 years) he'd been in a cage and when he bonded HE REALLY BONDED. This is a typical trait of Chihuhuas. If you want a loyal companion with the heart of a lion who is the size of a heart, choose a chihuhua. They aren't purse dogs and grieve when they aren't with you.
