Aretha Franklin's Son Assaulted In Detroit (Spinner)

Sep 21st 2010 4:56PM Can someone tell why it was even necessary for the author of this article (Michael Ayers)to include this piece of information. It has nothing to do with the beating of Mr Franklin. This is just one writers way of spicing up his story and getting some attention for himself. Those of you that feel it okay to pass judgement should check the grass in your own yard before looking over the fence at somebody elses.

Should Paralyzed Vet Get a Free (Amusement Park) Ride? (Asylum)

Jun 19th 2009 5:27PM I have to agree that if the policy is pay to get in, you pay. Not paying at all because you are a Vet or a Grandma that doesn't or can't use the rides isn't fair to people that do use the rides. These places usually have bands and other entertainment that the riders most times don't take advantage of and pay full price. That's generally where you find the none riders. I'm proud of any man or women that has served our country. I have an Uncle buried in France that died in Normandy. I have a cousin that served in Vietnam and one that was in Iraqi. Two of those people didn't have a choice in being in the service. Today you sign up knowing the risks. I'm sorry this young man was wounded and has the life that he now has. We as tax payers are paying for his unfortunate situation every pay day as I would think that he is getting disabled Vet benefits. The park owners pay those same taxes. My mother as a child was struck with polio. She had a crippled, disfigured leg her whole life. There were no special ramps or handicapped parking spots back then. My mother worked, shopped, drove, raised 3 kids, and took care of a home. She never once expected special treatment. For those of you that will say she wasn't a Vet. Guess what, crippled/disabled is terrible for whom ever it is.

TSA pulls pants off of elderly man during search (Gadling)

Jul 28th 2008 3:41PM I agree there should be some kind of security. I also think some thought process should be involved when these TSA people decide to pull someone to the side. Anyone can apply for these jobs. You have to pass a test but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to pass. Someone needs to teach discretion during training.

Police Crack Down on Craigslist Sex Industry (Switched)

Apr 8th 2008 4:50PM I'm glad that the people that frequent these sites and any other establishments that have this kind of entertainment have a place to go. Better that they have an out let then be preying on someones child on the street or someones wife in a mall parking lot.

Open Letter: Star Jones Checks Bill O'Reilly's Racist Remark (Blackvoices Main)

Feb 27th 2008 9:59PM The people of the U.S. west "cowboy country" should maybe be upset by this too. Didn't they lynch white cowboys in the old west? Star Jones is as ridiculous
now as she was on the view.

Jude Law is happy he was caught with the nanny (ParentDish)

Nov 13th 2007 5:26PM Lisa,
I've got my own vile behavior to worry about. Point being that I really don't care whos banging who in Hollywood or anywhere else. I am entitled to my opinion just like u and I don't think i was rude about it. I see that u weren't particularly nice to 2 others. I don't waste my time with pissing contests and certainly won't with you as it seems u have it all on being rude. Bottom line---this bothers women more then men. What if it were the woman doing the cheating?

Lying Male Intern Busted in a Dress on Facebook (Switched)

Nov 13th 2007 4:16PM I hate to see anyone lose their job but if u r stupid enough to get caught the consequences are yours. I worked with a guy that had more grandmothers die in a year then anyone in life. If ur going to lie---be smart about it.

Jude Law is happy he was caught with the nanny (ParentDish)

Nov 13th 2007 3:05PM It always amazes me how some many out there are so quick to judge everyone elses "dirty Laundry". We all have something to hide in one form or another. Let the big guy make the judgements. If Jude wasn't in the public eye knowone would give a rats butt about this. Wishing anyone ill will is also not up to us. Unless i missed the memo, none of us were named "the almighty".

We're All Gay -- The Only Question is How Much? (News Bloggers)

Jun 28th 2007 7:31PM Hey Narth----why would anyone choose a life of ridicule, hiding, and family rejection? Also lets not forget the rejection from the gay community. If your not a hunk in this life you watch alot of life time. It is not an easy life by any stretch of imagination.
If you're lucky to have a long time partner and he or she dies you are alone. As any "straight" widow or widower that didn't have children how lonely that is. I'm gay and there were many many times that I wish that I wasn't. I'm 50 and have had the feelings I have since i was about 5. I didn't know what they were and certainly din't pick them at that age.
